This is a much shorter layover at LAX. Besides, I would take a domestic 777 over a 737 any day. And there's always a chance that they will swap it out with the reconfigured domestic bird.

Unfortunately, it seems you cannot mix outbound/return carriers, so US-PVG-CA (which would qualify for TWOV) is not possible.

Also, please specify what FFP program you are in, and whether you have status. There may be different rules on how flights credit, so that may open up better options.

- Found SFO-TPE r/t for a pretty good deal, but couldn't figure out how to extend it another 5,500 miles or so to hit Gold. Any thoughts? Open to almost any trip at this point.

Ended up making a different change within my 24hr window!

No stopover time in LA, but I saved $70 and now have lie-flat seats IAD-HNL. That's a 10h25m flight on the way there, so I'll take it!

Business class small MR example?

I have a followup to my previous question last week. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a business class ticket mile run for 3639 miles I need to make it to United Gold status this year for the first time in my life.

Departure Airport: EWR or ABE
Miles Needed:3639
Required Spend or Budget: Anything reasonable for the route and in business class
Available Travel Dates: any days November 19/20 or December 2, 3, 4
