  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

There was a fare very much like you found in ITA, but it had to be booked By TG IN CMB. Let us know how you did.

Only a partial premium fare, can't seem to price it out as an all-premium RT at a decent price no matter what I do:

Nov 26 -- STT-MIA-LAX-NRT on AA with STT-MIA in 2 class J (books into I), MIA-LAX in 2 class F (books into A), and LAX-HND in 3 class intl F (books into P).

Dec 2 -- HND-JFK-STT on AA all in Y (books into N for HND-JFK and S for JFK-STT)

Comes out to $2961 all in, some cheaper options available if willing to overnight in JFK or do more complex routings. Probably could be improved if someone with more experienced tinkered with it. Seems to work for various dates.

ORD-NRT is going 2x daily from September 1, hence the sale. Nice find (though the earning for P class is not great...)

Depends on the program. For United, it's 175% RDM/150% PQM

if anyone is going to CMB on a run.

I'm finding on ITA - CMB to some cities in Europe RT in EK F for between around $3500 - $3900 on A380 and 777 with layover in DXB

for example CMB to CDG RT for $3593

~forgive me if this is not truely a 'good deal' I'm a true newbie at this and just saw these flights and thought it looked pretty cheap for a RT F ticket

Interesting Thanksgiving fares on UA website

I just booked a P fare for the Thanksgiving week with a routing IAD-FCO-AMS-IAD on the UA site. $2237 all in. There are a number of combinations connecting through various cities in Europe. I chose 2 nights in Rome and 1 night in Amsterdam. The best part is the outbound from IAD is the LH 748i with new biz. The return from AMS is on the UA 767. At 125% LH and 150% UA miles with 150% PQM this seemed like a decent way to go. Also, note they haven't announced any specials for Thanksgiving yet like in previous years, but the fares and routes are there for the picking.

Cheers,

Cyborg

That's a really bad fare out of IAD for Thanksgiving to be honest. I currently have fare out of BOS for $1350 and > 20k qualiying miles. Check out AC routings through IST.

The high fare could be related to the open-jaw or FCO-AMS leg. A simple IAD-FCO-IAD return might be cheaper.
