  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

AA: SAN-BOS $544 OW for August, possibly beyond

I was able to get $544 O/W last week from SAN to BOS through ORD for an upcoming trip in August, widely available; same through LAX - less than 2x O fare bucket in the back of the bus. OW Return on AS nonstop varies between $100 and $250 in Y, ~$800 in F.

The SFO/PDX/LAX fares mentioned upthread to Central America (MGA, SJO, PTY etc.) can be had by Canadians from YVR for the same price as south of the border and even over Christmas/NewYears.
YVR-MGA, SJO/MGA - YVR Dec21-Dec29 $1254 / C$1297. Might be cheaper if your schedule is more flexible.
Bookable on .bomb.ca and XP.ca so no need to pay FX fees. Creative routing gives you a leg on the Dreamliner.

If this was mentioned before, soooooweeeeee.

NOTE: ITA prices a fare for the same price flying via YYZ on AC J pods both ways but couldn't get that to price anywhere. (Well, Priceline did but errors out at payment. ) IF anyone gets that one right, please PM me. Thanks!

The YVR fare has been around a couple months now. I'll be travelling in February on this fare. Might be good until EOS.
Can you help me out on the 787 segment.
I will route through California/EWR on the outbound and IAH/ORD on the way back. Lots of narrow body segments but couldn't get any widebodies.

DL: BOS-JFK-SJU-JFK-BOS $651 ai

Widely available for the next few months, through at least January. Fare codes note that travel must be through NYC, but also says that two transfers are permitted in each direction, so maybe there are some interesting possibilities.

LAX-TPE-LAX, UA A-fare first class $4,556 (AA & NH too?)

Not sure if already discussed or qualify as a good deal premium fares..... Note NRT-TPE-NRT is booked in business cabin, 2-class equipment on NH.

I know United Global First suite is nothing to write home about vs. other airline's true first class should be, but for $300 more than P-fare, I think it is worth getting the few extra redeemable miles and some lounge hoping in NRT.

Starting Sept and booked on .bomb. Also seeing some dates on ITA for AA and NH in $4200 range.

LAX-NRT-LAX is showing $3600 range......

I booked this several days ago for an April trip, and for some reason didn't think to post it here, sorry. There is a similar fare that is about $500 r/t more expensive if you travel on a weekend.

This fare is substantially cheaper than J for same dates/flights.

Question about UA P Fares

Using EF, I see availability in P for EWR-SIN in October in both directions, but when I used the Fare Information section of EF it does not show any P fares. I assume this means that United has not filed any P fares, but why does the class show as having seats available? Any good EWR/JFK to SIN or LAX/SFO/YVR to SIN fares mentioned above that I have overlooked?

You are correct that it means UA hasn't filed any P fares for that route. However, the bucket availability isn't impacted by that, as its possible other routes utilizing those flights might have P fares filed. To give you a concrete example, AC generally doesn't sell N/G/P/E/A fares between the US and Canada, but they DO sell NGPEA fares between the US and Asia. As a result, many US-Canada flights on AC will show space available in NGPEA even though those buckets aren't widely used.

I can think of three scenarios:
1) Connecting traffice - what rehoult said;
2) P fare was filed during the past 11 months for EWR-SIN. P fare bucket is there so that whoever purchased P fare before can make changes, with fee, to a different date;
3) P fare is filed for SIN-EWR. P fare bucket is there so that passengers originate from SIN can book return segments. EDIT: In fact, there is current P fare filed for SIN-EWR. Base RT P fare is $5395.
