Shouldn't be necessary if using the kiosks, no?

Fill the form out anyway. The kiosks, including GE kiosks, don't always work.

Approximately how long does it take to get from Terminal 2, concourse F to Terminal 1 concourse B. Have a 50 minute connection with young kids.

Depending on which end of the concourses, maybe 10 to 15 minutes.

Concourses E and F merge together. Just keep going down towards the terminal. Do not go downstairs. Do not go through security.

Just before you get to security, turn left in a wide open corridor with a lot of shops and restaurants. Keep going past the concession area into a narrow glass lined corridor (do not go through the revolving doors) until you get to the end. If you get to an escalator going down, you've gone too far. Turn left past the security screening area and you will exit the corridor across the hall from gate B5.

You do not need to go through security. If you go through security, you did something wrong.

We are flying in a few hours and we had an emergency situation (someone forgot a passport in chicago!) so we had to rebook flights to go through o'hare.

We arrive on united domestic terminal 1, and depart 45 minutes later on domestic us airways from terminal 3, gates H10, H12, or H14.

What is the shortest way to get to terminal 3 from terminal 1, do we take a walkway inside, underground, do we go outside? we have no luggage and already have all boarding passes. any insight would be appreciated!

Not sure if it's too late - sorry, holidays = no computer time! - but the shortest way is to walk inside security: do not exit secure area, follow signs to T2/T3 (basically, turn right when facing security checkpoints), and you should be in T3 in about 15 minutes or less if walking briskly. Exiting, taking ATS and clearing security is likely going to take longer.

45 minutes is a tight connection though.

Still ongoing talks. Of course like anything else, funding is the key but the numbers are there to support this.

It's not just for non connecting pax, there's discussions in place to have air side shuttle buses run from T1, T2 and T3 to T5 and back.

It's my understanding it would replace what BA operates with more of city based setup operated by a 3rd party vendor. Of course, it comes down to cost, logistics of making it work and how funding would be incorporated into rates and charges since all airlines would benefit from this.

Also, starting next week we'll finally start to see some progress on the ancient FIDS and BIDS systems within the terminal.

Although you folks might not think it would impact you, but the roof replacement is approaching 33% complete.
