One of the features of this card is the bonus when you transfer the SPG points to lot of airlines. Does any other card have offers like this or this is the only one that has a bonus option?

Just a data point...
I applied and received an auto-approval for SPG personal/$5k on June 12th. I received it on June 20th, activated, and immediately requested CLI to $15k with immediate approval. Amex Platinum (April 8th) is my only other Amex until I apply for SPG Business when 30k comes around again. |
I am thinking of switching from personal to business spg but have pending points from referral offers of the personal card. Can I still switch to the business card to get my referral points from the closed personal card account?

Because the AF was assessed already. However, sounds like I pretty much have to wait for the points to post before or I won't get those referral bonuses that apparently you don't get if the card ends up getting cancelled.

American Express will automatically issue a pro-rated refund of the annual fee whenever you cancel a card.

They said I have 60 days to cancel the card to get the AF back so I should definitely get those referral points posted by that juncture.

Once again, we've reached that time of year when Amex often has a 30K offer for the SPG Amex. Has there been any encouraging chatter recently, either among the card-pushing bloggers or elsewhere, about prospects for this in 2015?

I just received a 30K offer (with $3K spend over 3 months) for the SPG Amex Personal after signing up for an SPG account at https://www.starwoodhotels.com/prefe...est/index.html.

Not sure if anybody else noticed, but I just added my Amex SPG card to Apple's Pay/Passbook and the card design shown in the app is totally redesigned. Purple but clean and sharp graphics, looks upscale and way better than the old design. I'm guessing cards after the new terms kicks in effect will get the new design. My wife didn't want the old SPG card as an AU, but she said she wants the card whenever new design is available :D
