Does anyone know if they will automatically be sending new CC with the new design, or do we have to request a new one?

I used a different app from the Amex webpage, and it ended up accepting the 11 characters.

how long does it realistically take for the referal points to post? I'm thinking about canceling before the end of the month(when my new jacked up AF is due to hit)

My wife and I both have the personal card. I got the 5k referral bonus email today, and expect that she will have also. Can we cross-refer each other for the 30k business card offer? If so, that's 80k more points for us (30 each, plus 5 each for the referrals, plus at least 5 each for actual spend). Or, does the bonus only hit for "new customers", such that we wouldn't be eligible to receive referral bonuses?

If you are referring to SPG Gold status granted with $30K annual spend, it does count towards the year qualifier portion.

I have multiple personal SPG cards. Received 2/5 credits for each one of them. Only one card was via application. The others were a PC

I should have specified that the issues dealt with the 2stay/5night credits. I've read a few post where Amex won't give the second set of nights since I already received them from the business card.

Is the qualification period a calendar year Jan-Dec? I'm going to pick up business card and have personal card already. I also have done a couple of stays this year, so just wondering if it might make sense to keep the personal card and do see if I can make a few more stays before end of year.
