So I think for any one particular hotel, if you're only looking for one, chances are more likely than not that no codes will work. The more hotels in an area you're looking at, the more chance that some code will work at maybe at least one of those hotels.

Have you looked into LNF? Have you considered using points? Have you considered other hotels that are a better value (on either money or points), in either the Marriott program and/or other programs (that you have points in or can move points into)? That's my typical solution when faced with a $285++ room at my first choice hotel. (I just don't spend that much time in my hotel room, it's not worth paying that much on my own dime in a city where there are plenty of choices.)

Well said.

Cheers.

kanerf posted this in the property thread, but thought I'd mention it here:

Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld

15% off rooms
2,000 Bonus points
Free Self Parking

Through 31 March, use promotion code M41.

Also, special discounts on Seaworld tickets.

I just tried M41 for several different nights over the next month, Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld showed it as unavailable for every night I tried.

Anyway, I have a question guys. I see that the FPL rate is included in the publicly available list earlier in the thread. Florida Power and Light does mention it for things like when they have conferences and stuff. That doesn't necessarily make it quite a publicly available rate, but it certainly isn't limited to just the employees.

I'm in Florida and I've never used it because normally it saves almost nothing, but I'm now heading to a place where it is half price of the best rate.

I'm wondering if any of you can confirm it is ok for me to use the Florida Power & Light rate, because honestly, if they don't let me use this rate, they simply will not get my business.

FPL is not listed as a public rate in the 1st post. There is an older FBL rate that was used in the distant past and it is still listed just to show that it is no longer valid. So my guess is FPL is a private corp rate and will probably require a valid ID. But like anything else, YMMV in trying to use it.

As for the M41 rate not being available for your nights, that is very possible as the hotel probably only allocates a few rooms for that rate. So once those rooms are reserved, so is that rate for those nights.

I can say that the FPL rate code came from a listing that had publicly available rates such as these and the non-public rate codes that were formerly published on here until they were asked to be removed by former FT mgt. So long story short, it's not a code that qualifies for this list yet you may use it, just at your own risk. Just read the T&C's and print them if they work in your favor. Sometimes these rate rules do not state "ID required"

I'm new to using these codes, do any work with AC Hotels in Spain?

Pick your hotels & try the codes. You'll find out if they do or don't. Just above your post is one for Europe; might want to try that.

Cheers.

apologies in advance for being a newbie and not knowing where to put this request - I have a lot of upcoming travel to New Orleans and wonder if there are some working codes for the Ritz, especially interested in Maison rooms....and thanks!

FL Power & Lights rate is only available to employees of FPL

We should really start a new thread, removing outdated codes (like NW or codes confirmed dead).

The historical codes can stay in the old retired thread.

This has been discussed in the past (quite possibly in this very thread.)

Basically, the decision was that old and even outdated codes should be kept in the list as Marriott does sometimes reuse codes. So it doesn't hurt to try some of those older codes when trying to find a better rate.

Now if you see a code that brings up an error (i.e. not in use any longer) and I don't have it marked as such in the list, by all means post it here and I will update the list.

Please note that the Marriott LHR insisted on seeing my AAA card for the AAA rate this weekend. First time that's happened in about 5 years.

I had that happen a few years back at the LHR Ren. I had gotten away from traveling with it because no one ever asked, but have now added it back in the wallet.

Cheers.

Hello all! First post :) so apologies ahead of time if I mess this up.

Courtyard Austin downtown- I used code LPR and got a $99 rate for 3/4/12. It was also available for Saturday but I got a LNF rate for that night at Residence inn Austin downtown. It seems both hotels are in the same building so I booked 1 night in each to receive more points. Will that work?

Thanks!
