I think it depends on the hotel and the rate itself. I do believe that sometimes the rate is supposed to be for employees only, no contractors. Other hotels may have a negociated rate that includes contractors.
So it depends on the hotel.

Well not to point out the obvious, but shouldn't you just ask Boeing if they have a corporate rate & to give it to you if it allows contractors?

Cheers.

How do you know he doesn't work for boeing?

I presume he's asking for Per diem and the gov't rate if the BOE rate isn't at PD?

If he works for Boeing or is doing contract work for Boeing, then asking Boeing their code would be the way to go. And presumably he can find out through other methods (or the same; ie, ask Boeing) the gov't or PD rate - or ask the hotel if they offer one.

If he's not entitled to the Boeing rate or can't find a hotel w/ a PD/gov't rate, then he can do what the rest of us do - which is plug in all the publicly available rate codes (the purpose of this thread) to see if any crop up w/ a discount that works for him. Hopefully one will do so!

Cheers.

LPR rate is $103
my suggestion would be to book a higher rate and then submit LNF for the $103, you might end up at $77.25

What happens when you select gov't rate and book a reservation from there? Will the front desk ppl ask for ID or anything? I've booked with corporate rates before for my work travels but they never ask for any identification of work.

That's the one code everyone is pretty much in agreement on that you'll be 'carded'/asked for id. So if someone uses it & can't produce the required id or authorization, etc, they should be prepared to pay rack rate.

Cheers.

I would rephrase this to you likely will be asked for ID, there are times that they just don't ask.
