I asked the question because MAYBE SOMEONE had stayed at the TPA Marriott recently and knew of a discount code or some special they were running.
Funny how AAA was the lowest rate available, Maybe you could ask if I tried all the codes. One sentence reply. You guys would rather spend more time with your replies trying to put people down. Does it make you feel superior ? Too funny. I'll PM you and the other guy next time for permission to ask a question on this forum before I post,...........ok If you had said 'I've tried every other code & it's not working, & if anyone has one I can do in a Hail Mary Pass', it would have been more obvious you had already tried the codes & thus you wouldn't have gotten the terse responses you did (not defending the terse responses btw, but it is frustrating when some folk don't even bother checking the codes & then ask for help). So good luck in your search & if you come across a publicly available code in the future that's not been posted, we hope you'll share it w/ other FTers. Cheers. |

Hello all I have a question? I used the Friends and Family which I got the authorization for already. My trip is next week and got a call from my friend that she was laid off, but pretty sure I can still use the form since its already signed. Does anyone know if I would still be able to use it?

Thanks I just hope they don't check Employee id number =), I am already bummed since my mom retired from there and I use to be able to use the Employee Pleasure Rate so that was a nice perk =(

Any current codes for use with the Marriott inside TPA airport. The Best I can get is $134 Saturday April 29 using AAA Unfortunately, most of us read that as exactly what you wrote, ie, asking (only) for codes, not asking for the more general "any way to get a lower rate". With that, we mistook you for one of those people (who we unforunately do get from time to time in this thread) who don't try any of the codes in post 1 and just ask "what codes are there" anyway.Had you asked "any way to get a lower rate", we could have explained about LNF to you, and suggested you post a request in the "seeking LNF" thread. In my experience, LNF is more likely to get the rate down than codes at certain locations. But LNF in my personal experience is much more likely to work if you are looking for the best price at any Marriott Rewards hotel in an area, than if you are only looking for the best price at one specific hotel. In an area I stay in frequently, which is chock full of Marriott Rewards properties, one hotel has constantly recurring LNF opportunities, a few hotels have them occasionally, and the remaining majority of hotels seem to never have them. Fortunately, I am flexible enough to be able to use whichever Marriott Rewards property in my area has the lowest rates on a given night, whether AAA, via LNF, or otherwise (as long as it's points/miles earning qualifying. |

Well, then why didn't you say that? Your exact original post was:

The advice given re: LNF is valid, and there are multiple threads in the Marriott forum re: LNF, including asking for help in finding one. You might want to try that instead. BTW - if you do find a better code, please post it in this thread & hhoope01 will update post #1. Cheers. |
I did what I said. I sat down an entered all the codes found in THIS thread until I found one that brought in a rate of $69. I then filed an LNF claim, which dropped the rate to $51.
Of course you can use rates found on the Marriott website, (the LNF claim form specifically asks if the rate was found on the Marriott site!) Why would you not be able to do so? Example: If you enter the code WKD, and it brings up a lower rate that has no qualifications in the rate description you can use it. But, if WKD states "must have a Thursday, Friday, Saturday nite stay" in the description, and your original rate does not have that criteria, WKD will not qualify for an LNF claim. LNF is not based on where you find the comparison rate. It is based on the 2 rates being identical in every way, and the Marriott folks being able to duplicate your findings.

Did you codes or did you use LNF? You just posted exactly the same original rate and final rate in the LNF thread:
Marriott: FI Charlotte Arrowood Did you really find two hotels at about the same time, both for exactly 109, and one lowered to exactly 69 with codes and the other lowered to excatly 69 (minus 25%) with LNF? Or did you get your numbers mixed up?Check-in date: 4/5/2012 Check-out date: 4/6/2012 Marriott rate reserved: 109.oo Lower rate found or reserved: 69.oo We have reviewed your claim and have made the following modification to your reservation: Rate: $51.75 (Or are you able to do LNF on Marriott codes? If so, I don't understand how, I though it had to be "publicly available" rates in both the original and comparison rates submitted to LNF.) |

Traveling in Spain
i will be traveling in Spain for several weeks in May. Does anyone know of discount codes for Spain?
|
Did you try all the codes listed in the first post of this thread?
Did you check the specials on the hotel's webpage, or under Membership Rewards? |
Is there a potential penalty for using the wrong corporate rate (my old company) for several week on a long term stay?
I was asked to negotiate a rate for my current firm with the local Marriott. We are on a long term project but have been using my old firms rate so am hesitant to admit I do not really work for the code I have been using... |
I need some help
I understand.....MEM.....is a rate code I can use to make reservations and get good deals.
But what is MEM for? Are there restrictions with this code such as not earning reward points or not gaining credit for other promotions such as stay 2 separate stays earn a free night or 5K/10K points? I know some cut rate hotel pricing you can find through hotwire, priceline, or cut rates through expedia, and other sites are exempted from credit in reward programs. |
Any known valid PROMO Codes for Renaissance Hollywood
I am looking at staying at the Renaissance Hollywood in Hollywood California and am unsuccessful with all the codes I am trying to use.
Just wondering if someone out there had or knows of a valid CODE. Thanks |
Does anyone have a code for the Uniondale, NY Marriott?

If you've already tried the codes in post 1 and none of them worked for you, then asking for a code here is not likely to produce any other codes, since they're already listed and compiled as they're found. What you should look into, instead, is LNF (Marriott's Best Rate Guarantee). It's generally the best option for lowering the rate when you can't find codes (in post 1 of this thread) that work. See this thread first for basic info about LNF: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...f-newbies.html and then try any third-party sites you know. If you can't find an LNF-qualifying rate at the third-party sties you know, then post a request in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...-lnf-rate.html (But pleast try searching some third-party sites yourself first, since you may not always get a reply to a request you place in the above thread.) And, btw, welcome to FlyerTalk, kman10! |
