Hello,
In the mid of January my account showed 9 nights needed to reach platinum status (I have a screenshot to prove it)
I stayed 12 nights at the Marriott properties since then.
That means I should have been Platinum. Yet when I log in to my account today, it states I still need 10 more nights to the Platinum status.
After several phone calls with several Marriott agents (some of them were supervisors) that led absolutely nowhere. They seem to be like robots, not listening to my case, not willing to set the record straight.
Who should I contact that can help me to get my status corrected?
Thank you.

This IT issue has been discussed to death in this thread and a few others:

BTW, I'll bet you had 41 nights in 2019!

OP, your innocence is charming. My counter said I only needed 6 more nights on Jan 1 to requalify for Ambassador status! I have 24 nights YTD, and it still says I need 6 more nights to requalify.

As a counter point , my ambassador status is listed has having expired a week ago, despite more than doubling up the requirements in 2019. Guess Marriott should "make it right" and take my status away.

Here's the answer that I received back after an inquiry to my ambassador; the answer came from a separate support team:
"I do see that you have re-earned Platinum status in 2019 for a 7th Platinum year. I have inquired and received confirmation that on January 31, 2020 our Tech team started updating Elite and Lifetime status on millions of accounts. There are no timelines or deadlines as to when it will be completed."

So tempted to ask whether it will be completed within our lifetime.

I very much doubt that Marriott would resolve this by generously letting you, me, and everyone else requalify for Platinum / Titanium / Ambassador at the low rate. IMHO this is one you'll just have to accept that you request will indeed go nowhere.

Gold to Platinum Status
Hi all,
First time on the Marriott forum! Looking forward to getting more involved.
I have a quick question - I qualified for Gold for the first time last year, and aiming for Platinum this year. On the Bonvoy website, it states that I'm currently Gold and have 10 nights to my account for the year so far. Underneath that it says '15 nights to Platinum'. I understood that Platinum level requires 50 nights, so I'm a bit confused as that would only get me to 25 nights. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks so much! Staying at the Marriott Marquis SF this weekend and very much looking forward to the visit.
James

The requalification counter has been out of whack since January and is well documented here.
Issues, glitches and data inconsistencies with the 2019-2020 rollover process
Go back one page. There's an entertaining post from someone who took a screenshot of his broken counter and is demanding his Plat status from Marriott.

Welcome to Marriott, and possibly the worst IT in the world! I'm not a geek or hacker by any stretch of the imagination, but it's fun finding all the broken stuff with Marriott's IT.

Thanks for this! Its pretty much what I thought, but a tiny part of me was hoping they were being really generous! Ahh well, will have to put the nights in to get it. As a side question, does Bonvoy do a soft landing at year end? As in, if I'm platinum then dont qualify for the following year, you go down to Gold not all the way back to the bottom?
