If they really do not have them, and I find that hard to believe at this point, hopefully they just exchange the old cert for enough points to make an NC7 7 night reservation. I can only recall two people in this thread who had OC Tier 4-5 certs that would have converted to NC7 and neither of them reported getting converted. One cashed in his cert for a refund points value. The other I have not heard a resolution to.

There is no lack of DPs or approaches on how to handle an upgrade request successfully from previous thread and the current one. Upgrade is much harder now but presumably still possible with an OC to NC conversion. |

7 Night Voucher Question
Hi All,
Please be gentle, if this is posted in the wrong place feel free to move or let me know where to post. The shear amount of information here is overwhelming and difficult to navigate. My 7 night Marriott Voucher expires in March of 2019. Am I able to book a reservation after that date and apply for voucher to it? Or, does the voucher stay need to be completed before March 2019? Thanks much. |
Unfortunately, the certificate has to be valid at the start of your stay. When the cert expires, it will essentially disappear from Marriott's system and won't be available for your stay.

Thank you kindly. Another user suggested that converting this certificate to the new type (post merger I assume) will also extend the date. I'm going to call them and see what my options are.

Hi Folks,
Need your help here. I have booked a 1 week stay at Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui using my old Cat 8 certificate for the coming spring break. However, we may not be able to go at March because of a job change. 1. should I just simply cancel the reservation and cert? How much points are we getting back? 2. is it possible to move the reservation to a later time, say summer or winter? Thank you very much! |
