Marriott began the IT integration of its 3 loyalty programs on August 18 with a goal of combining them into one unified program. It told members to expect websites and apps to be inaccessible that day and problems stretched into the middle of the week. By Thursday, the dust seemed to settle although members continued to report specific issues.

And now... you can't log in, even though it was possible intermittently through the weekend.

Why Marriott doesn't bring down its website and app at one go and put them back up only when everything is working fine, surprises me. Seems through the weekend, members can log in see information at different stages of incompleteness and with data inaccuracy - too much skeleton revealing I must say.

I was getting an error when I tried to log in "Service not available" now it seems they've removed the login option entirely from the web page.

However, while I couldn't login through the app earlier I now can login via the app and it's showing LTPP status which is awesome.

Edit: I also see that my lifetime points (>2M) have disappeared from the app and instead it's showing Platinum Years (17, had no idea it was that many).

So, I have gone from Platinum in MR to Platinum in MR... Which is not supposed to happen. I thought that it was supposed to be from Platinum to Platinum Premier?

I've also lost all my nights for the year, as well as all my upcoming reservations are missing.

So... Woohoo?

Have been able to login. However making a reservation is a hot mess. I was needing to book at DTW Weston. Normally enter DTW for location. I got a list a mile long to include DTW Metro Airport Taxi, DTW McNamara terminal, KDTW Detroit, DTW Disability Stop, etc... Select any of them resulted in no properties found. Could only find hotels Detroirt, MI. Then searching for rates, another nightmare. Finally gave up and called. Wanted to strangle someone as it told me "you can do everything much quicker online by visiting the redesigned website." Agent picked up and told me everyone hates the system, agents can't do things they need to in new system. Not due to system issues like customers are having, but to actual having things designed in manners that just don't work. Pulling up my account # required her minutes, as there's no simple way with their new front end. Agents aren't happy it was done at one of the busiest times of the year. No reason couldn't have waited till after labor day weekend to do changes.

My account status is wrong as well. I was LTP in the old Marriott, and it mapped to LTP in the new version, not LTPP. I have requalified for the old Plat Elite with over 100 nights this year, but haven't spent anywhere near the $20K for Ambassador level. However, they list me as Ambassador until 2020.

I will take the advice of the IT specialists on this thread and wait a while to see if it all works itself out. But I would rather have my LTPP accurately identified rather than the Ambassador status I didn't earn.

not having a functioning log-in Sunday night ... that's pretty bad. This is complicated, I give them that, but they had 1+ years to plan for this ... looks like a fail to me. Well, o.k., I'll give them till tomorrow morning. If everything is fine by then, we can merge accounts, book stays etc .... all is good. Fingers crossed!

I would seriously wait a few weeks before merging accounts. Let the dust settle and all the kinks get worked out first and let a good number of brave souls go and merge before you.

I wrote 'can' not 'will' My next stay is 8/29 ... so I'll merge 8/27 ... that gives them another week to sort things out

If you're already Plat why are you worrying about merging? Just curious...

Cheers.

it will give me LT Plat under the old rules. I have till December to do this. Some of the stays are *W ... this is all a mess right now with 2 accounts ... so I want it merged before those start.

I did this earlier today for my reservation this week. It's at a Sheraton and was originally tagged to my SPG number, I called up the SPG Plat line and had them re-tag it to my Marriott number now that the systems are now "one" so that it will post to my Mariott account vs. SPG. The re-tagged worked, we'll see how things go when I check in and when the stay posts to my account but so far so good. Somewhat similar to you I'm doing a late push to reach Lifetime Gold under the legacy program rules.

It has the added benefit of everything showing up in one app before the official "combine" process starts.

Mine also has some dependency - one of my BRG approved reservation shows the original BAR price, while the rest are fine.

I hope today's 2nd outage won't make things messier.

I am trying to make a reservation and am good to go in the app except it won’t let me update my CC. The dropdown box to pick the type of credit card is all blank.

The iPhone app doesn't work at all. It's an error/glitch saying the property doesn't accept your cc. Even if you go into your profile and swap CC's, nothing will satisfy the system and you can't book.
