NOOOOOO!!! Not another sticky!! Don't people remember how cluttered the old Marriott board became with sticky's??

I'm glad to see this thread as a sticky. This only makes a total of four, hardly overwhelming.

There's always new info here about hotels coming and going, it's more important than any of the threads specific to an individual property/

Sheraton Flowood The Refuge Hotel & Conference Center

New Sheraton in Flowood, Mississippi, a big convention hotel adjacent to a golf course:

Was being developed as an independent hotel before it got the Sheraton branding, apparently:

I guess this is the property hinted a while ago for South Australia. Was it hinted to be Luxury Collection?

I believe original plan was to be a Westin. Not sure what the new brand will be.

Yes, a particular brand did announce plan for South Australia among its other global expansion not long ago but I can't remember what it was. May even be Ritz-Carlton.

According to the below diagram showing the updated plans for Cairo's upcoming 1-Ninety development, where Egypt's/Africa's first W will be, the project will include the following components:
  • W Cairo
  • Aloft Cairo
  • W Cairo - The Residences
  • The St. Regis Residences
The W Residences launched last year, and construction is already well underway on some of the project's buildings with the hotels and residences due to open by 2024.

A new Autograph Collection property is coming to Milwaukee:

"The new Deer District hotel announced in September now has a name.

"The luxury boutique hotel that will sit just across Juneau Avenue from Fiserv Forum on the west side of Vel R. Phillips Avenue will be called The Trade, in honor of the tradespeople who built the city.

"Construction on the 205-room hotel – part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection of independently owned upscale and luxury hotels – is expected to begin in autumn with an eye toward a 2023 opening."

The name of the new Deer District boutique has been announced (OnMilwaukee, May 05, 2021)

It appears The Dharmawangsa Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia may soon be branded as a JW Marriott. Some job listings under the property name JW Marriott The Dharmawangsa has sprouted up.

Interesting choice of brand.
The hotel is not as big as the other JW in Mega Kuningan

Agreed. The Dharmawangsa is a very nice hotel, and could easily qualify as something nicer — a Luxury Collection hotel or a St Regis perhaps, especially after a very light refurbishment (change of carpet/upholstery)

Update on NYC & RC.

Ritz Carlton Manhattan Nomad is listed on MR's website but can't book yet. Planned to open in Q3 2021, the hotel tower will house 250 rooms and serviced residences, and there’ll also be a fine-dining restaurant, club lounge, spa, fitness centre and rooftop bar. Brought to life by Yabu Pushelberg, the interior’s aesthetic will blur the lines between private and public spaces, creating an atmosphere that can be private if needed or open when desired.

City overview: NYC room count to grow by nearly 18,000 [Infographic] | TOPHOTELNEWS
