So W Osaka is open and then we have the up coming Ritz Calton in Fukuoka. But I'm missing the mid level hotels in Marriott portfolios in the smaller cities. I think Marriott should step up their game in Japan. There are so many different Marriott properties in China but in Japan outside Tokyo it's so much different. Difficult to stick to Marriott when it comes to travelling around Japan.

I haven’t seen this in this thread. A Moxy property has been announced for Auckland, NZ. It will be only the second Marriott property in New Zealand.

JW Marriott Madrid announced today as the first JW in Spain. Based on the description of the location in Plaza de Canalejas, the involvement of the Rockwell Group, the size of the hotel [139 rooms] and the ownership under Millenium, this will open in the former Hotel Asturias in what was supposed to be W Madrid.
