yesterday received VGCs & activated them, got the pin #; earlier today tried to load $ to serve at a walmart register in money center but the clerk showed 'debit not available... code 51'

anyone happened to know what that means & advise what to do? TIA

If people trying RB/BB loads (no Kate) and having issues with cashiers asking to match name to ID...what's to stop people from just ordering a bunch of cards from giftcards.com since you can add your name on there? Then it matches...cashier goes to check, and no problem...?

Question for those who know or had this issue before:

Yesterday, I had the same issue in WMT with Metabank cards from AAA. When I swiped a card, it was 5-7 seconds waiting time for authorization and then a small slip was printed with "HOST TIMEOUT" message. After 2 tries with 2 different cards, I completed this transaction with regular debit card. So, 2 days after I see that these gift cards are drained, and no refund. When looking into Walmart receipt for MO purchase, I see that the cards that were used for purchase comes with autorization code like "APPR CODE 123454", while these 2 "failed" transaction recorded as "APPR CODE ######". It doesn't say that it was failed or something, looks like completed purchase.

What should I do? Is it normal?

But then they will make some other reason, like there is no bank name on the card, or no more than 2 debit cards.
Basically the zoos dont want us.

Has anyone used giftcards.com orders to fulfull a monthly retention bonus from Citi? (e.g. extra 1K miles for $1K spend)

Happened to me, a few stores in the local grocery chain where I unload vanillas have a$$hole cashiers who won't even take reloadable debit cards like Paypower. Must be bank. I broke character and told her once that if they're really worried about fraud this won't stop anyone. People can manufacture fake cards pretty easily.

I don't see why not. Probably depends on the clerk you get but if they take debit for the MO you should be fine. Just don't advertise the fact its a gift card. If they ask just say it is debit.
