1. Are creditcard.com VGCs issued by MetaBank like the kind you find at Staples/OfficeMax? (if yes, ignore next question)
2. Can you unload creditcard.com VGCs onto BB at Walmart KATEs without any fees? Anyone successfully do this? Or is it a Bancorp/Vanilla situation where I'd have to find other means of liquidation? I've been getting my $200 VGCs at Staples but am thinking if I can get $500 ones off giftcards.com, I'll save $22.86 for $1,000 in MS $1000 VGC @Staples using Amex Plat: 5x(200 + 6.95) = 1034.75 + [gas to store] $1000 VGC @CC.com using Amex Plat: 2x(500 + 4.95) + 1.99 [shipping] = 1011.89 |
I loaded 3/4 to my redbird today. One of the cards kept giving me "unable" to read error after entering the PIN and selecting no cash back. Came back and the balance is still $500.
Anyone experience something similar? Should I just request a new card? |
Well it seems we've both been banned by giftcards.com. After his first or second cancellation last month, husband called in to get more details and was told that there is a 10k per month limit, based on first order not calendar month. I attempted a smaller amount than the usual 2k order since it would have brought me under the 10k limit for the month but was still cancelled. Annoyed but determined, I decided to continue to lay low. Husband's new month started earlier this week and he tried to put through an order and was cancelled, twice.
As fate would have it giftcards.com sent me a customer service survey and I politely gave a piece of my mind concerning their lack of concrete information and overall terrible customer. The Vendor Relationship Manager emailed me in return basically repeating the same message I'd been hearing all along: I'm sorry that your orders were not able to be processed due to our security screening and that the response to your inquiry was unsatisfactory. We consider online security, which protects both our customers as well as our company, to be a top priority. I understand that it is frustrating that you are not being given any specific details as to why the orders are cancelled. While we are comfortable with the accuracy of our process we do realize that no screening process is perfect and, unfortunately, sometimes good people are impacted. I’m sorry that we are not able to share the specific details from the security screening. At this point, GiftCards.com has chosen to no longer do business with you. Happy MS'ing! |

I was able to get 8k out of them so I'm not too broken up about it. For anyone else ordering, enjoy it while you can but make sure you line up a plan B for when giftcards.com arbitrarily bans you for no reason. Happy MS'ing! |
I was banned also. I had no doubt this would happen.

Were you using the same credit card for all of your orders or did you change them out frequently?

From the start of using this site I knew it was going to only be good for complementing my MS, and never thought to use it as my main source. I'll continue to do my $1k a week and just have it save me $40-50 a month in fees. Let's hope staying low keeps working, as I just had another order confirmed this morning.
Btw new free shipping code is: FREEUSPS915 Guessing it only goes to 9/15... |

:td::td::td: Ridiculous. Can't believe these guys even stay in business. What else would anyone buy on that site...
I've also sold some store gift cards to them, before I got into churning. |
