LOL, I did not even realize that was my first post. I usually find someone else has asked all the important questions already...

I do not think so. Can you use OneVanilla without registering?

You need to register the Netspend card I believe to get a pin. You do not have to register OV's--you set the pin on first swipe. They may be the cards where the last four digits are the pin, I can't keep up with them all, so I just do that with all.

Is this a good card to dump leftover VR funds? I need to liquidate $5K in VRs this month and would much rather pay off my CC. I have read about reports of shutdown but will this a problem to liquidate $5K in VRs to pay off CC?

I have already enough VRs to max out Apr for BB and would prefer not to wait until May to liquidate this extra $5K into BB.

Up to $3500 should be okay but I've never loaded it with a VR, too expensive.

I would caution against that.

Netspend is sticky. Worst is the cases that get closed do not go into spend down mode. I do around $1.5k a month and I am safe... Money is in and out, no playing around with them!

Hmmm...not sure if $1.5K is worth it when I want to drain $5K or very close to it. Are there any other alternatives to Netspend that allows VR deposits at higher rates and allow online BP to CC?

Emerald, BB, and Serve.

You could try Netspend. I would make it quick, but maybe someone has better data points.

Since we can not buy VR from CVS anymore, what will be other use of Netspend?

Netspend just fired me. I'm not allowed to get any of their products in the future.

Had a PayPal Prepaid card for 2.5 months. They closed my account with no warning. Will send me a check for $1051.88 in 20 business days.

Netspend is teh suck
