Why do you find "that kind of attention" bad?

I talk to the friendly cashiers/managers about all kinds of things, ask them if their store profits from these sales, if it makes their numbers look better, and sometimes talk about what type of points I'm accumulating at the moment. To the *really* cool cashiers who completely understand the game, I've told one or two what my profit margins are on a purchase.

At the end of the day, CVS employees seem to be very consistent about following the rules the registers enforce. If the register lets you buy 2k/day, then go right ahead. Out of 6+ CVS in my area and countless CVS from places I've traveled, I've only butted heads with one employee who for some inscrutable reason doesn't want to sell me cards anymore. Everyone else at the same store is happy to sell to me, and if I walk in and see her I just turn around and walk out. No big deal.

Honestly, I feel that having cashiers know roughly what we are trying to accomplish is overall a good thing. The other reasons for buying the cards that we do in quantity are pretty much all negative. Nobody that I have ever heard of has a legitimate need to give multiple thousands of gifts to their friends every week.

On Sunday, Dec 6th I was waiting at a gate in ORD for a plane back to MSN. Up walked a clerk from the local CVS, who with a big grin, asked me if her store paid for my trip.

Everyone there know what I'm doing, or at least has a vague idea. Every one of them is very accommodating and helpful.

Yeah, cashier just moved to the next register over and it was fine.

Tried multiple registers; the employee even asked if they can try the rubbing chip with plastic bag trick but still failed. Not sure if this matters but had no issues with same CC buying two OV GC but having issues buying PPMC cards.

I feel like I would be more upset that she didn't share with me her info.

10% is crazy good.

When my chip couldn't be read this afternoon, the employee showed me her screen, which said to have the customer try swiping instead. That worked just fine.

She probably didn't receive the email from discover alerting customers their terms had changed.

I didn't know CVS has AP? I agree though, that may be what she's hinting at but she'll get the surprise of her life with the 10% she's expecting from her VGC purchases at CVS.

It works intermittently.

No it doesn't, it is disabled in all stores.

I have done PPMC previously, but did not try OV VGC. Bought 3 cards first time. After reading a lot, my options are to load these at WM on BB. Is there any other option?

Is anyone having issues with using the OneVanilla cards to buy MOs at grocery stores? They've always worked for me, but a batch that bought recently goes straight to credit and I can't get it process as debit.

OV do not work at WM for over $50.

Are Vanilla GCs bought at CVS able to be used immediately, or do you need to wait some amount of time (if so, how long)?
Is the answer the same for other stores that sell Vanilla?
