@hokiegl - just depends if you have a non-walmart avenue to liquidate at.

quick shutdowns, customer service number is no help, just an endless "fraud review", takes interacting with 'higher powers' to get them to release funds

terrible option :td::td::td:

SPG Amex didn't work for V VGC at CVS

The lady swiped my DL and tried couple of times to use my SPG Amex to buy $500 V VGC but it didn't go through. So, only Visa/MC credit cards work at CVS to buy GC?

I have also used my SPG at CVS with no problem. I would call AMEX.

Yes, you can buy $500 cards that can be loaded to Serve. Yes, these are available at CVS. No, you can't use them at Walmart in transactions of $50 or more.

I literally just left CVS buying with an OBC. So likely on your end (FA).

Yep. I went to a different CVS and it worked fine, so now I have found my store.

Does anyone have any recent experience with unloading Vanilla Gift Card at Walmart?
I read previously that you can't purchase a MO at Walmart using them but they are pin based to I thought any debit card that was pin based could be used for unloading for a MO at Walmart.

2 months or so ago I inadvertently comingled a vanilla amongst my other Walmart acceptable $500 gift cards

later on I realized why the one $500 gift card didn't take

Vanilla cards are managed by Incomm. Incomm cards do not work at Walmart for debit transactions of $50 or more

I've read this entire thread, but still do not have clarity on whether there is a way to get around the $2k/day limit. Does the Global Entry card or a passport work when attempting additional cards?

Any recent datapoints would be helpful.

In searching this thread it seems like there are datapoints on both sides. I think the only way to know for sure is to try it.

I accidentally went over the limits (thought it was calendar day not 24 hours) and it didn't set off any alarms, the cashier apologized and offered to hold the cards at the front for me to get in a few hours.

Just $0.02 worth of advice - even if they will take global entry, passport etc. as your ID, do you really want to go that route? You will have succeeded in raising the suspicion factor by about 1000% if you give anything other than a DL (unless you happen to be in a place like NYC where a large portion of the populace doesn't have DLs). I was in a situation last month where I wanted to MS quickly, and realize that there are times where that is "necessary," but you may be better off with a marathon view in the long term.
