Just $0.02 worth of advice - even if they will take global entry, passport etc. as your ID, do you really want to go that route? You will have succeeded in raising the suspicion factor by about 1000% if you give anything other than a DL (unless you happen to be in a place like NYC where a large portion of the populace doesn't have DLs). I was in a situation last month where I wanted to MS quickly, and realize that there are times where that is "necessary," but you may be better off with a marathon view in the long term.

Reports indicate military ID works, and that's a reasonable type of identification.

Gonna get a passport card and try this in the next few days. My foreign passport worked for a while but then it got linked to my DL. US passport never worked for me.
|
Tried this passport method and it was a fail. Stupid limit reached message.

I've read this entire thread, but still do not have clarity on whether there is a way to get around the $2k/day limit. Does the Global Entry card or a passport work when attempting additional cards?
Any recent datapoints would be helpful. |

I also failed to use passport and DL in either order. I got the 24 hr block.
I have a theory that you have to be zippy about it. |

The first time you used your PP, did it ask for lots of info?

The only other theory I have is that the first time someone typed in my PP, they switched my middle and last names in data entry.

I can concur with CWAL. I am able to purchase more than 2k per day at CVS. My DL and PP's first and middle names are switched around. So that is a reason why I am able to buy more--just my 2 cents.

i was denied purchased by a CVS today, the regular cashier told the assistant manager and the AM came to me and said he can't sell to me because i am doing something illegal and threatened to call the police on me.
I felt harassed, i told him to go ahead and call the police. my drivers license and my credit card always matches, my credit card has never been denied, and not a single charge back or fraud alert was filed on their store. BTW: this happened in the middle on the store where there was plenty of people, that was embarrassing. Has anybody filed a complaint against a CVS employee? I plan to talk to my lawyer on monday and see what my recourse is, i can't believe the AM threatened to call the cops. |

Sorry you had a bad experience, but is it really worth your time to escalate this with an attorney? Plus you risk calling attention to the hobby and ruining it for others. Move on and go to another CVS store next time.
Calling on your lawyer in this situation is like calling on your lawyer because "he told me I was annoying in front of my friends and I feel maligned!" |
