my drivers license and my credit card always matches, my credit card has never been denied, and not a single charge back or fraud alert was filed on their store.

BTW: this happened in the middle on the store where there was plenty of people, that was embarrassing.

Has anybody filed a complaint against a CVS employee?
I plan to talk to my lawyer on monday and see what my recourse is, i can't believe the AM threatened to call the cops.

I understand how you felt at the moment, it can be very embarassing especially in small towns where people know everyone. Do stores have the right to deny sale to anyone for any reason? Absolutely! stores like CVS are private property, they can also ban people from their stores. If there are other branches or drugstores you can go to, it's best you skip this store for now.

I know we say a lot of things we don't mean at the height of anger or disgust. You may not really mean to go to a lawyer for this incident although I understand if you will since your feelings were hurt. You still have time to weigh things and if it's worth to spend time, effort and money on this incident. Think and choose your battles, chill for now, especially if you're planning to go back to that store. You can talk to the store manager to report the incident so it'll not happen again. Think of possible worse case scenarios if you report incident and possibly burn bridges to this store. OTOH, the manager may contact you and apologize profusely since they don't want to lose your business.

It's all up to you, after all you're the only one involved in this no matter what others say.

Agree with the previous posts. You need to let these things go. Yes they suck, but CVS doesn't want you. Regardless of why, though foremost should be that you aren't profitable in those purchases, they have the right to refuse service.

Regarding the PP/DL thing: I admit I haven't read the whole thread. IME, I cannot get the PP accepted in manual entry if it requires the follow up screen with address information. It seems completely random if they just accept the # & state or if it goes to the next screen to require the address. When it does the latter, no combination of current/former addresses will work.

Really to have a lawyer on retainer at all times is odd..

Yes, had this happen to me at one store when VR's were up and running. The AM was a Hispanic women who hated men, she was always rude and condescending to me. So one day I had my iPhone recording the whole conversation, again very rude and condescending, when I asked to speak to the GM, she flat out said no and I had to leave, I wasn't going to leave until I spoke to the GM. Then I was told she was the GM, and when I pointed to stated her badge said AM, she informed me that she wears this to catch people like me.. I left, came back the following morning, spoke to the GM, replayed the recording, he wasn't happy with her attitude towards me and lying to me. He was there when I was there. After that day never saw her again, and was able to purchase my VR's..

Some CVS employee's think they are the police and play games, once called on it they back down.. The second best one was when bubba told me he was going to call the police because I was money Laundering, when I asked him what that was, he told me it was buying VGC with CC's. I laughed and told him he should pick up his smart phone and look it up... Then I told him I wanted to purchase VR's, yes, he sold them to me after reading what ML was.

IMHO if he/she stated that you were doing something illegal, which you weren't, and other people heard it then it is a case of defamation of character. I am not a lawyer and am not offering legal advice, but I personally would pursue it.

I really have no idea why people have high expectations from people with 8th grade diplomas making $9 an hour at CVS. Once you realize you aren't going to be able to buy what you seek, you are wasting time from there on out, and it's best to politely walk out and move on to the next store. I am often surprised that people have such strong emotion about MS.

I'm sure there are more than one CVS in the area and until you strike out completely keep moving on, drawing attention to your situation increases the probability that this store remains off limits. For every ONE heroic tale I read on here from some MSer who whined and complained to miraculously get what they wanted from the manager, there are TEN who got the operation shut down for an indefinite period of time at that specific store. Play the odds.

From Wikipedia:
Bubba is often used as a pejorative to mean a person of low economic status and limited education.

There is never anything to be gained by making a stink, and lots of bad things than can. Be an adult, just shrug it off and move on.

In law nothing is certain but the expense.

This is the second time in succession and within a week that I bought a One Vanilla GC from CVS and it did not get loaded. I also bought at two different CVS store. I have been buying OVGCs at CVS for at least two years now without any problem. Anyone experiencing this?

Been buying OVGCs for over a year now at CVS and bought my usual 4x500 last week and for the first time ever one of them didn't load $500 either. Called Incomm and they are sending a replacement card.

I bought two Vanilla Mastercards at CVS today, and they were fine.
