LOL. Very true. Even after I've read threads, sometimes I forget small details. Then it's hard to go back every page to see where it was. However, I always try to search first for my answer and if that fails, then yes ask the question (or make the statement).

+1 I drive myself mad sometimes re-reading threads trying to find that one little detail.

I do find that google does a better job of searching the FT threads than FT search functions do.

Has anyone had trouble today at CVS? I tried to buy OV this morning but the system was suffering some glitch or another and just said "can't process order at this time". That was after the ID scan (first OV went in fine) so I'm guessing it's just an internal error with reading the ID. This was around 9:30am.

I kind of hope you're joking. 2 posts prior to yours.

Glitched out as well in metro DC. The screen showed some random error, the clerk showed it to me. That is for OV purchase.

Doh. Sorry about that I saw the post from cdancer, got all excited and got to far ahead of myself :p

I'm hoping this is cleared up soon the delay is already causing timing problems for tomorrows 5k.

Glitch for me as well. Singular GC purchase went through fine. I doubt it is related to any change in policy.

I've seen several of your posts through various threads, so I know it was an honest mistake. Although I'm not sure how you saw cdancer's post at 1:33pm if the page wasn't refreshed. Not that you need to explain yourself, I just read your response and thought, "wait a second..."

The next time this happens, just read the last 4 digits from your credit card instead of handing it over. Many CSRs won't care. However, if they still require looking at it then you are SOL anyways.

Or maybe they won't care that it's a GC -- they certainly don't at my CVS.

It depends on the store that I go to. Just to be safe, I always do that unless I already know the cashier doesn't care. The ones that really care will ask to see the card anyways. I've been turned down at that step.

CVS master thread

Glitch as well in NJ. Just tried to buy 5k and after scanning my ID it wouldn't work. Tried 2 CVS. Hoping this glitch gets dealt with quickly. First the walmart pos thing and now this. :/

Looks like an issue with the central ID scanning system. No bueno in DFW either. We can hope it's just a glitch and not permanent..

haha I must have been changing this as soon as you were responding. I was reading the thread, didn't refresh, then in going back to it only clicked on last page and saw cdancers post and got ahead of myself (thinking that was the last post).

Basically I'm having a dumb a$$ day. :)

Thanks for keeping me honest though!!

Ah ha, that satisfies my curiosity. I'm done berating you now.

ID glitch in Los Angeles at 12:40pm PDT.

edit: working today, $5k no problem

traveler9020 Jun 9, 2014 2:25 pm

Has anyone been able to get more than $1k in OV in a single transaction today?
