Anyone heard about new limits? Reason to think this is PPMC specific? Can individual stores hard code their policies if they are more restrictive than the general policy?

Wish my local CVS carry PPMCs. I've visited 3 or 4 of them, none of them carries them. Good thing about our CVS is that they have plenty of OVs and no one cares if I use my AGCs (personalized).

Not in the Philly area, though I did have a longtime cooperative location tell me yesterday morning that they would no longer sell PPMCs except as cash transactions and that this has "always" been policy (clearly the register was not hardcoded). The manager was a bit douchy and asked me twice how much I wanted to put on them, but kept telling me the amount did not matter.

Luckily, I have other locations in the area that are no problem, though supply is waning a bit at this time as a couple of my routine stops are out and have not been re-stocked. I do get a vibe though that there is a bit more scrutiny on the payment device, so I am mostly abandoning AGCs for my AE Blue 5% card (not that the portal cash is there these days, anyway).

My local CVS carries the PPMC cards and sells them with CC but they've only had them in stock once since I began using them. Fortunately two 7-Elevens carry them, although the register limit is one, and a CVS further away has had them in stock more often.

what a shame... my friendly CVS turned cash-only for PP and Amex GCs. Not sure what prompted that decision (perhaps a chargeback or some fraud). I doubt it's from corporate as they had the list of cash-only cards on a handwritten paper.

They're fee free right now at this store. Makes for a decent return for ALR or AFT if you're using a 5% card.

Careful with swiping AGCs on ALR.

What's ALR?

Haven't seen any fee-free in my journeys, but will definitely look from now on!

Are they fee free nationwide? Is this something that started recently? Reason I ask is - I checked a couple days ago and they said $5.95 on it. Is the fee waived at the register?? Thanks!

Not sure if its nationwide, but its fee free at register as of 3 days ago for me. take one to the register, if its fee free, pay for it, if its not, tell the register: sorry, I thought it was fee free this month, maybe I missed the promotion, please cacel it"

but even with fee free on AGC, ALR gets 1.75%, $8.75 on $500, still cost $3.30 more than OV $4.95+$0.50 on MO.

I've got 10 AFTs I've yet to load or withdraw from this month. If I get 10 fee free AGCs with $406 on each that's a profit of $17.30 per AGC since the first withdraw each month is free.

Just curious, why load with $406? I get the $3 Target load fee but is the extra $3 to cover the ATM fee?

Does anyone figure out yet why it takes that long for cvs transaction to post using wf card? My WF promo is expiring in next couple of days and the only place I can use $5k in one visit is cvs so thinking about going full throttle.
