Back in town after a month touring Portugal, England, Scotland, Denmark, Norway, the Faroes, Iceland, Denmark and Canada and now seeing my regular CVS skiddish about GC sales and running a 1.5k transaction limit on me. What's up with this?:rolleyes:

AFAIK, this is not a national thing at all. It's apparently something your local store manager has decided to implement. If you have another store in your area, you might want to try that location. I have one local store, where one, and only one, cashier has decided to limit sales to $2K. If she is there, that's all we buy. When someone else to working, we do up to $5K. Have to go with the flow to do MS.

Yes some stores definitely make up their own rules, for whatever reasons. It could be high issues with gift card theft or credit card fraud etc. I have one store in my area that only allows up to $2k/day and no credit cards. They were actually surprised that I was surprised that they didn't take credit card. So now I know to avoid that store. No biggie with all the other CVS in the area.

Yep. Gift cards are tough on the body cavities...easier if you remove the packaging first. The things we do...

Does anyone else shed a tear when they go in and see three or four hooks full of VRs? I still think "Wow, I finally hit the jackpot" right before remembering...

I can relate. None of the CVS locations near me had ANY VRs during the last weeks of that game. It's only been in recent weeks that I've seen them start reappearing again.
