Anyone having issues buying PP Cash cards today?

Not exactly CVS but something related to the demise of VR at CVS, for which there have been a lot of speculations:

There was a grocery store where I still could get VRs after CVS shut it down. Then one day the manager told me they didn't take AMEX anymore because AMEX charged them $19 to process a card. After another week or two the store shut down VRs completely.

I usually just got 2 cards over there every week (if there were any left), but one cashier told me there were few people buying it a lot.

Yes, but at a different store. Wonder if this was system wide issue...

Are you sure it's hard coded? Maybe I'm lucky but every CVS I've been to has been more than happy to take CC.

What stores in LA county? Didn't have a problem tonight in OC.

Just on a side note, I went to two other CVSs tonight that are NOT my go to CVS since my go to CVS ran out of PP Cash cards after checking tonight. Both of these 2 other CVSs management imposed a $2.5K/day limit. One of the store manager was willing to scan up to the $2.5K and then when she scanned the next $500 to make it $3K she "claimed" it didn't allow her to do so. I didn't push too hard since its 2 different CVS stores and just gave up and bought the $2.5K.

Has CVS recently changed their policy from $5K/day to $2.5K/day or are these store managers just full of you know what? I know in the past the answer would be YMMV but I found it curious when the store manager scanned the $500 card to make it $3K, she claimed it didn't work which tells me it might be hard coded.

Has anyone been successful in purchasing $5K today (not yesterday or last week or whatever)? I just don't want to stir up anything if any new limit policy changed. Because last week Amex GCs were fee free and now they are not so I know things can be dynamic.

Crap, I needed 3 more AGCs from CVS fee free. Went today, and there was a fee. That's what happens when you procrastinate! jaja

I See temp serve card are fee free today at cvs, but not sure if allow CC, let us know if you going to give a try.

I put $500 on a free fee serve card at CVS, a few days ago. No problem using my CC!

Good to know it worked for you. I tried purchasing with my obc and it failed, however there are reports of obc failing tonight. I will try again.
