But in most corporations, there's a difference between what's stated and what happens. Many people have reported that their CVS allows PP w/CC.

If yours doesn't, that's unfortunate. It doesn't make others liars however.

100% correct. I bought 4 more pp cash cards today with my amex blue cash card. And, I'm not taking a picture of the receipt.

From cvs? Months ago, i was told it is hard coded in the system not to accept cash. I will go to try tomorrow.

how exactly are you unloading? load to PP and pay evolve with PP Biz DC?

and is that route working consistently? heard square payments dont work and cant withdraw direct to bank atleast not more than once or twice before getting your PP reviewed/locked/waterboarded/sent to Gitmo.

1K in Serve loads / month helps offset fees
3K in MOs at WM

Tried 2 today at Kate. One went fine, another failed (not debit card). The same cards with the same exp dates. Weird

They're still finicky. Today first 6 or 7 OVs all went through on the first try. Then Kate started telling me they weren't debit cards during load sessions for about 40 minutes and it would sometimes take 6 swipes before it would go through. After that 40 minutes or so period they started going through after the first try again.

Took me forever to do all my loads today. WM was swamped for some reason at 11am on a Friday. People kept lining up behind me to use Kate so I was limiting my load sessions to $1500 so I didn't hit the velocity threshold in case anyone used it in between sessions.

This may be useful to some people, but maybe it's already been posted (this thread is HUGE!):

All amex GCs at CVS have the fee waived, until the 23rd, I think. Did a test purchase of a $50 Amex variable load GC, was charged exactly $50. Depending on what % you can get at CVS, may be better than a shopping portal, but then again maybe not.

Eh, you still have to liquidate them.

I think the only crews getting bonuses on drugstores are the old blues and WF 6 monthers. If they would only waive the fees on VGCs/OVs.

Thanks for the heads up. Was this advertised somewhere? I'll have to pick some up for AFT loading this month.

Found out thru this thread that "OVs work at WM again".

2 days ago, just to be sure that was true at my local Kate, I bought a $500 OV, and loaded it to BB. Everything went fine. So my wife and I bought $2K each of OV, {all the CVS cashier would let us buy}. Yesterday I drove over to Kate, loaded the first $500 to BB. Tried to load my second $500 and "card denied". Tried with both of my wife's OVs, same thing. Called in, and of course the cards are properly activated, with the full $500 on each. Kate just said "no more soup for you".

Now I have to drive over again, and see if it was a temporary glitch, or what... Arrgh

Not as far as I know, but I don't check CVS's advertising literature on any regular basis. I was over by the GC rack looking to see what they had (general curiosity) and noticed a /tiny/ sticker/tag thing (the size of the smallest sort of price-label that can go on a shelf rather than on an individual object) above the area with amex GCs noting that all fees were waived right now.

The two CVSs by me both had this deal, but, YMMV. It could be regional.

Thanks for the HU. WAG had a similar deal back in May and this is perfect timing! This is exactly what I need and pay with blue cash. I have a huge bill coming up for auto/home insurance. Will also pay for 2 of my auto renewals with this GC. It's like getting 5% CB when I only got 1.5% with QS before. Win-win!!!

I saw the same sign at my two local CVS stores over the weekend. It is a bit easier than portals and you do save 3.95 per card as opposed to ordering through a portal. For me, the counterargument is that if I purchase through a portal using my 2% Capital One card, I get the 2% immediately upon the purchase posting, which takes some of the sting out of waiting. Amex could take up to 12 weeks.

what are the other benefits of buying these AGCs apart from AFT loading?

and if you have to convert these to VGCs, then there's no point right?

They can be unloaded to AP.
