Tangent. How do you go back to mobile after going to the desktop version? I actually prefer the mobile version when I'm mobile except for the fact that there's no wiki. After clicking the button to view the full site, I always have to clear my cookies to go back to mobile. I could use a private tab, but that gets messy because I have to click twice since the cookies get weird. Is there a better way?

If you have IOS check out "Puffin browser free". It is a pretty good browser that I use when I wanna see the desktop version of something. By using two browsers I can use my normal browser (Chrome) for regular browsing and then if there is a site or page I need full desktop version of I simply copy the url and paste it into puffin and I'm good to go. I believe Puffin browser has an option to always show desktop version..so I use it solely as my desktop version viewer...although it is a pretty good browser either way.

Edit: Go into settings in puffin browser and there is a toggle switch for "request desktop site" and it will always show desktop version of a page.

Have been out of the CVS game for a while (mainly doing Simon GC & loading to Serve at Walmart), so some of my questions might be silly for you experts, but really hoping that someone can help/guide me.

Recently got a couple new cards (Amex Platinum & PRG, and Sapphire preferred). Trying to meet the spend requirement & CVS will make this job much easier.

Several months ago, I was getting Vanilla Reload cards at CVS and loading onto Serve (or was it BB..gosh I am getting old & my memory doesn't help me now) right away without the need to step into walmart. Then they stopped taking CC and I moved to Simon. Was just checking this thread (read wiki and last 10 pages), but still not sure about some of the things you guys are talking, things change so quickly here.

What cards, if any, can still be bought at CVS using cc? Are there any such cards that can be loaded to Serve online? If no, how are the experts here draining these cards?

Thanks for your help.

Gift cards, but not reloadable debit cards. Don't do Serve over here as my WallyWorld ain't playing nice, but do recycle CVS plastic into paper on the way to the bank. At this stage of the game, some CVS's are cash only on GCs and some stores do not take GCs for MOs. Really YMMV these days and stores can change policies on a dime.

Thanks for the reply. Have couple more questions based on your reply:

You mentioned that you "recycle CVS plastic into paper on the way to the bank. At this stage of the game, some CVS's are cash only on GCs and some stores do not take GCs for MOs"... I am guessing by recycle you mean you buy MOs with these GCs, correct? Where do you buy MOs at using these GCs, walmart??

Are there any photos of these GCs that are easier to liquidate? Thanks.

I'll be uncreative.

$4000 with PayPal cards
$8500 with Simon cards because he did mention those being liquidated to Serve.

Had you asked me no way would I post an answer, unless I wanted my sources to dry up. Its time to play gonna waste alot of my time = you simply have to drive, park, walk in and walk out cussing that you got turned away ca$h only till you finally hit pay dirt. Besides you can hit pay dirt on the 1st Burger King you go into and yet the others in that area wont sell you anything except with ca$h.

2 supermkts , same chain apx 3 miles a part 1 is a free for all, the other Zippo, nada,ca$h only! including MOs,a Chase DC attached to my checking or savings is worthless its ca$h and ca$h only

I had this happen 3 weeks ago, but the process was surprisingly smooth (kind of). The first CSR I spoke with wasn't too helpful, the 2nd seemed more concerned. This was 2 days before I left the country for 2 weeks, so I wanted it handled ASAP. I ended up emailing my DL, receipt, and a copy of the card and packaging (which was probably overkill). I received an email the next day stating that the $500 was on the same card I had on hand-- and it was. Resolved in <24 hours.

I'm still not sure if this was fraud (someone putting a dud card into packaging and keeping the real card) or if the system simply made an error and didn't link the package and card numbers. I'd like to think it was just a system error, but it seems to happen to often for that to be the case.

To update, after emailing in DL and receipt, the funds were there the next morning. Surprisingly smooth process although I never and still have not gotten an email about it. Unloaded funds as normal.

1st time in a CV in many a month. Got an OK to set up a Serve acct. I know the temp card can be had for $2.95 @ some outlets. 1st went into a different DS and they had a $5.95 fee, walked right out. Drove to CV their pkgs had a $0 fee and was able to use a CC to boot

Walk in to a CVS for some vanilla GC and was told cash only. first time ever from CVS. I got few cards two weeks ago in the same store. I hope it is just the cashier not doing the procedure right.

Had a great experience that only fellow MS folks would appreciate...

Walked into my usual CVS and saw that a new cashier was manning the register - bad omen #1. Then I walked over to the OV cards only to see that they were all out - bad omen #2. Was about to buy the more expensive Vanillas when I saw the manager and asked him when they were expecting to get more in. He went to the back and came out with a couple of boxes and let me grab 4.

He then proceeded to walk me to the cashier and tell her that he knows me and that she's good to sell me "as many cards as he needs". It's all about the minor victories in this game

Last week I had the manager tell me that this was the last GC they would sell to me. This manager and the store manager recognized me too.

"Too much fraud" was the reason. Then why do you check my id and match the name on my CC to the name on my id? Seriously????

Oh well. Time to move on to the next one.
