Whew. Went to my local store last night and purchased some VGC. Teller had an issue with one and we just grabbed another. Went to go cash out today and one didnt work. The one we thought didnt work, did work, activated and the replacement didnt.
I went back and found the activated one, but that scared me. If a problem occurs, Ive now learned I need to check the activation numbers to the receipt. |

Can you buy VR at CVS using OV?

Anyone in South Florida been able to find non-Vanilla gift cards? I've pretty much tried every local branch of the CeeVee's and am coming up empty. Its kind of killing my Serveability.

saw some MC and Visa gift cards at an office supply in Indiana. No mention of " Meata Bank" . Also saw Vanilla Prepaid cards. Did not purchase.
Any of these good for loading BB or getting MOs ? Thanks. |
Starting to run out of locations for OV purchases. I went today to this week's Location #4. OV inventory was scarce.
At the register, the CSM did her thing, then told me 'you can't buy a GC with a GC.' Nicely told her I buy them all the time at the other locations, told her I was not sure how it is done, but that it works at other locations. She sighed, tried again, and the transaction went through, no problem. Not sure about going back to that location any time soon (again - Central FL - non-tourist area), as she was a sour puss and annoyed. I was only successful 2 out of 4 times this week at 4 locations. This scares me. |

I've been out of the country for about 5 weeks courtesy of points earned via VR and, more recently, OV. But it looks like the days of loading BB with OV died while I was away. So, why is everyone still buying OVs? Simply liquidating via MO and/or Evolve?

Try WD

Try WD in South Florida for non-Vanilla GC. It varies from store to store.

I’ve been manufactured spending for the past 4 months or so. Just want to post my recent experience with a CVS store. There are so many f’ups in this story by all parties, including myself.
A few weeks back, I went to purchase 3K of OV at CVS with a biz AGC. A friend also purchased the same with a biz AGC. When checking out, the cashier informed me that she would have to process each OV individually. I attempted to inform her that these could be purchased in one transaction. She said she had to process them individually, as this is what she had been told to do. So, she proceeded to process the OV. So, the next day I attempt to buy a MO with one of the OV… declined. Each card is declined. I then call the number on the back, where I learn the cards have been deactivated. I am asked to go through the same song and dance as others here have done. Send in copies of the receipts and cards to Incomm. After about 5 days I hear back from them, that the cards still deactivated. there is nothing they can do. They don’t have the money for the cards, that the 2K has been sent back to CVS and that I should take it up with the card issuer and file a claim. So, I take this advice and call AGC service. Basically, the two reps I talk to laugh and say they can’t do a damn thing. That the charges are legit and posted, and the only recourse I have is to contact the store. So, the end of last week off to the store I go. I am able to contact the manager, who was very friendly and helpful for the most part. He looks at the cards, receipts, etc. and says that he doesn’t know what to do because it is such a large amount. He calls corporate where he is informed that they would have to look into the matter. He keeps copies of the receipts and a copy of my DL. Apparently the person at corporate who is able to authorize the refund is on vacation. So have to wait until Wednesday of this week to hear back… He tells us to to come into the store and he would refund the OV onto our cards. Today we go to the store. Manager goes into his office. We overhear him making a phone call saying: “Hey, these two guys about the gift cards are here, what do you want me to do?” We are thinking that we are here to get our money back! Anyways, the rest of his conversation is a bunch of ok’s and yea’s. So, manager comes out and apologizes for the delay in getting back to us, etc. That he is ready to get this over with, that he’s never been involved with something like this for so much money, has been with CVS for several years and this is so unusual, etc. Proceeds to refund the amount for each OV for both of us. We sign the receipts, etc. This was at 9 this morning. It is 4 now, and nothing has been posted to either of our AGC. Call amex, they say it can take up to 7 days for a refund to post. So now we wait. But I left out the end of the conversation with the manager. After we are done, he says that he has been told to tell us that we are not to do any more business with CVS again. What?! We ask is it just at this store? Manager says that we shouldn’t do business with any CVS anymore. …… WHAT!?!? Why is that? Manager replies because of stuff like this, it is to much of a hassle. Friend asks, well what about picking up his scripts. Manager says, oh… yea… well that is ok. Just no more gift card business. OK. thanks. we leave. Anyways, because each of the OV was processed individually back to back. It triggered some fraud alert within CVS, and they deactivated the OVs and this is what has been attempted to get this money back, and it is still not showing on the AGCs.... |
