Ok guys i know this question is super random and some might think stupid but hear me out. Is it possible to use a fake id at cvs to bypass the 2k daily limit? Like, would they scan? Anyone with experience using fakes here? Thanks.

The right fake IDs DO work for getting past the $2K per 24 hours rule at the CVS stores in my area. There was a kid from Wentworth that came to one of the Boston Meet-Ups earlier this year that has been doing just this for some time now. Personally, I don't think it's worth the risk, but to each their own.

Yes, let's try to be even more suspicious than we already are with the multiple transactions and multiple cards.

I'm assuming by "we" you meant you since my practice is to not use more than one card per transaction nor do more than one transaction per visit. Don't pretend to know how everyone in this hobby operates nor would it be any of your business even if you did.

Dont get offended.

Pretty sure dogbyte is being sarcastic on the behaviors of many when he used "we" as apparently he does not agree on such behavior.

Those who know they do not belong to the "we" do not need to get upset.

It is still very shocking how some could easily commit illegal acts just for a few extra bucks.

A little lying never hurt anyone. I put 'drug dealer' down in the application box on credit card forms. How the hell else would I be making $200k a year?

Well tonight I had the privilege of getting a One Vanilla at CVS that wasn't activated in store and when I called in to figure out what happened they asked me to email them a copy of the receipt, a photo of the card, front and back. Then said it could be a few days to activate. What a joke.

Did it say anything else other than activated on receipt?

I had 2 of those last month on same receipt, and I had to do the same thing you mentioned.

says "card $495 00*****9111- ACCEPTED Prepaid card activation will occur within 24 hours." They usually activate instantly or within 10 minutes in my previous experiences.

yup, thats what mine was too!

I bought 3 and 2 had the accepted. I called in and it took a few days. I had to call a 2nd time because the 2nd unactivatef card didnt activate when the 1st one did!

Thanks to concern about it.

This happened to me and the worst part is that the numbers on the receipt don't even match the actual card number. I was worried about that, but they can track activation times so if you have another gift card you can send it along with the broke one and it might help process faster. It worked for me, it took less than 24 hours. Also label the pictures you take well with words like one-vanilla-activated-346pm and one-vanilla-activated-342pm-not-working. Things like that make it very simple for them to process your ticket.

I had this happen to me with 1 of 4 cards I purchased in a day. Which made me worry a bit when me and a friend purchased 8 cards another day, but they all activated properly.

What if you actually gave a OneVanilla to someone as a present and trashed the receipt? You'd have to remember the day of purchase, then go back to CVS get a print out from their logs and jump through so much hoops, that it would make you not want to buy a OneVanilla card again.

This just proves one more time that the only sensible use for full price GC's is MS. If you want to give someone a gift, write them a check and save $4.95.

DH and I first considered giving Visa GCs to our close friends but ditched the plan when we realized possible issues the recipients may have so I turned to v3nm0 using AGCs. that way, they receive funds and I drained my AGCs from the sync offer(s).

What kind of volume are you doing? In my experience, it's pretty easy to be banned from Venmo for any reason (but mostly MS). Also wouldn't Venmo charge a 3% fee since AGC would run as credit?

While visiting family in NY (not in NYC) I tried to buy a OV for $500 at a CVS that I used multiple times over the summer. Was told that the OV's are cash only (after he tried scanning the card) and the cashier confirmed with the 2 other cashiers that were nearby. I had some other small items in the purchase as well.

I'll try another one of the CVS' that I've used before and hope that they haven't all been hard-coded.
