How many Vanillas can you buy at CVS? Is there a limit of 4 per person? The cashier scanned my DL today. Also, do you use your FB as debit or credit card to buy VGC?

I picked debit and put in my PIN but it didn't go through. I had to try as credit which then went to except I had to sign after every FB and it kept saying hand over the card to cashier. May be this is normal at CVS.

I'm taking bets on what gets shutdown first: CVS GC's with credit Debit, or 5 backs discontinuing.

CVS' must be gettting swamped across the country.

5 Backs must be losing money.

CVS will be off the FB list, which will kill most of the usage at CVS

Please read the wiki on CVS limit. If you are using mobile, switch to full desktop mode so you can see the wiki.

Each participating merchant, in hope to bring business to their stores. Would not be surprised that CVS drops out as it hardly makes any money (not selling actual merchandises) yet it pays out full 5% left and right.

The card reader wouldn't read one of my 5Back cards today. This was the case on both the tablet and register. I believe the message may have said "Communication Error" or something like that.

Has anyone ever had this issue?

Yes. Have you tried to swipe both ways?

There are occasional defective simon cards which seem to give swipe error at WM and CVS, however they work when manually swiped by WM cashier on their own device behind the counter....and also work ok at pretty much any other place I tried. That's why now I always bring 6 with me in case of two failures. Rarely have I had 3+ fail in one batch.

However, there are people on this forum that have this mentality to hit it hard until close then move on which is sad, but it's the nature of the game. I'm glad I don't have to play the game any longer.

"$3,000 of gift cards about once or twice a week" x 52 = $150k-$250k a year. That's crazy to MS so much online. GCM would be crazy to let this person continue.

There are so many people in giftcards.com thread who buys 5k per day and are discussing on how to bypass this limit or when that time resets for next order

GCM and gc.com are run by same parent company

I have one such FB card with a bad magnetic stripe. Would not work in multiple stores. I tried calling the bank to request an exchange or refund, but the phone rep asked me to first try asking the stores to scan the barcode (instead of swiping the card). Well, the stores don't want to do that -- so will need to call Blackhawk again.

Tell them that the stores did scan the barcode and that it did not work.
