The title belongs to Cary.

OVs were refilled at my CVS, but I took some VGCs instead. I checked some of the other up-to-$500 VGC packaging -- the white ones with a gold gift box in the middle are $5.95, the standard gold with ribbon and bow are $4.95 and the black-and-white ones with a gift box in the middle are also $4.95.

The $4.95 ones must be regional because whenever I visit family in the Southeast, they are nowhere to be found. I try sticking with Vanilla-branded GCs at all times because they are the only ones (at least in my experience) that do not require a pin to be set before use.

Today was the first time I walked into a CVS since... the day vanilla beans died. And, just to mock me, the gift card rack was CHALK FULL. 4 racks of beans. Stacked perfectly. Taunting me.

I wonder how big of change to monthly cash flows for the stores I frequent have occurred since this policy.

CVS does not want to sell them. Cash only has made that possible

I read that someone was able to buy 2 VR when bought with a prescription. Anyone else had any success? One commenter in mr. Bow tie blog reported it yesterday.

Found it in mr. Bow ties post on April 2 2014, comment 63 or 64

I heard this is only possible when completed at Costco.

She bought the 2 VR at CVS yesterday when she picked up her prescription.

The registers are hard-coded not to accept CC. Maybe it was a glitch, maybe the store had not updated their registers yet, maybe Jesus...My point is that the CVS/VR game is long over with. There are many, many more ways to MS.

Well, if it was because of Jesus, He presumably can override the hard code, even when the store manager cannot (One of the perks of being the Son of God I guess). So, worth going into CVS and asking Him to come into your heart, and also to override the register so you can buy VR for the glory of .....

Regardless, I will be trying it tomorrow! There may be other ways, but it was one of the better ways, and I had lots of liquidation avenues. Plus I want it all :p

So if it works, we will have lots of people feeling unwell and going to the doctor for a prescription. Or several prescriptions. In fact a prescription for each day until the next visit.

Yes, and I will be undoing what I just did - consolidating my presrcription to be refilled from monthly to once every quarter :p
