Non-Schengen gates in Pier A are labelled Z but bus arrivals are called A non-Schengen and on LH's arrival and departure information page maked as 'Terminal 1A, Bus'. It's located opposite gate A7 (Schengen bus gate) on this map. As you can see it's very close to exit A1.
It looks like TRAVELSIG has beaten me to it.

Schengen and non-schengen can meet!
Hi Guys,
I had a Indian passport holder flying from the US via Frankfurt to Delhi.
Frankfurt Airport customer service told me no way that I (German passport holder, flying same day, same terminal) can meet a non-schengen person.
I looked at the airport map and saw there is only one prayer-room for the whole Terminal 1. So I thought...hang on...everyone must have access to a prayer room. Talking to the "information desk" people at the airport confirmed that terminal 1 transit is terminal 1 transit and all can mix. I was confused. Later on Lufthansa personal said no way..you can't mix. FRAPORT handling people said...yes...just go to B22 where the prayer room is, you have to go through passport checks but with a German passport its not a problem. So I did. Once at B22 I asked Lufthansa staff again. I explained that probably everyone has access to the prayer room at B22 and wondered if they agree. Disappointing, they did not really understand the concept of prayer rooms.
20 minutes later I had my friend next to me. hence...schengen and non-schengen can meet.

Since UA968/LH7602 is operated by United you won't have access to the FCL/FCT unfortunately. You could try the Senator Lounge in A concourse with your arriving F BP (or if you are *G) but your departing BP in Business may only give you access to the Business Lounge. Depending on your departure gate you may want to use the Business Lounge above gate A26 which is a former First Class Lounge and is more spacious and quieter than other Senator/Business lounges.

Unless your flight from EWR is very late you should be able to spend some time in a lounge. If your flight arrives at a Z gate you only need to clear passport control. If it arrives at a remote stand and you are brought to the terminal by bus you may also have to clear security.

Hello all! As an anxious traveler, I'm glad I came across this forum.
I have my first international flight booked for next March, travelling LH/LH MCO-FRA-BUD on one ticket with a 65 minute layover.
I booked the flight through slightly sketchy online travel agency via skyscanner, which given the chance to repeat, I would not. When checking my booking the other day on LH's website there was a message saying that a scheduling change had occurred and that I would need to re-book. When attempting, the website indicated I was unable to automatically.
Phone call to LH was very helpful, they explained that the flight time had changed by 10 minutes and as I booked through a travel agency, I would need to contact them to have them re-issue the ticket, at which point it would reflect on my LH booking. This is where I began to sweat, because I've read some nasty things online about this agency in particular, and was fully prepared to have to deal with unanswered phones/less-than-helpful representatives. To my surprise, after I spoke with them I received an email within ten-minutes with an updated e-ticket and confirmed flight reflected on LH's website.
Along with the normal questions about 65 minutes being enough time to connect to my BUD flight, here's what concerns me: should I miss my connection, would LH still put me on the next available flight to Budapest, or since I booked through a third-party, are they off the hook, leaving me essentially responsible for a new ticket?

Hello totallystoked and welcome to FT!
Unless your flight from MCO is late, 65 minutes should be OK. You'll probably need a bit of a brisk walk, but you'll be fine.
If you miss your connection, LH will rebook you. They are the operating carrier, and they are responsible.
Read NewbieRunner's superhelpful posts to understand how connections in FRA work (tl;dr: follow the signs if you don't know any better).
Enjoy your trip!

I appreciate the response! Definitely helps to ease the anxiety. I'm a bit of a compulsive-planner so seeing the change in times from an already short connection (was initially 75 minutes) had me worried a bit.
Great to know that LH will cover a potential re-booking, but hoping it won't be necessary.

Welcome to FT, totallystoked!
It sounds like you will be on LH465 connecting to LH1338. 65 mins should be enough for the connection provided the incoming flight is not late. Since there are later flights to BUD, if you miss your connection Lufthansa will put you on one of the later flights as malmostoso already mentioned. Once you start your travel the airline is responsible to take you to your destination regardless of where you bought the ticket.

Those are indeed my flights! Out of curiosity, I looked at the remaining later flights on my date, and a majority of them are already sold-out. Is this normal for a FRA-BUD leg eight months in advance, or possibly a case of bulk tickets purchased by online travel agents such as the one I used for such a cheap fare?
Thank you both for your reassurance. As this is my first trip to Europe and being the conspicuous planner, I tend to have a lot of questions (see: worries.)
Glad to have found this site. As a newcomer to the world of travel, it's really interesting browsing the forums and learning.
Thanks for all your help!

Still, odd that so many flights with that fare-class would be sold so far out? I have seen a good amount of one-ways to BUD that week on sky scanner for under $800.

Sometimes the really cheap fares just aren't loaded yet. The same thing happened to me when trying to book an April trip to BKK a few days ago.

Hi. We are flying lufthansa from Dublin to Athens via Frankfurt and have a 50 minute scheduled layover (although the last few connections I looked at seem to have have had 1hr or 1 hr 10mins based on when they get in vs when the next one leaves).
From what I can tell from the Lufthansa site, the dublin flight seems to usually get in at either gate B22 or C02 and the Athens flight usually leaves from gate A58 - > A69.
Is 50 minutes enough time to make that transfer assuming we have to go through security since Ireland is non-schengen? How long does that typically take at around 8 or 9am? We intend to sprint, not just run.
Thanks
