I think so. Coming from C2 we followed the signs for B and then passed Passport control on our right with transfer security straight ahead. There were three lanes marked by overhead tv monitors; the left for Fast Lane, the middle for Economy and the rightmost for F/J. After clearing we went right, following the sign for LH F lounge, went down one level which put us right opposite the escalator that takes you up to the FCL.

If I arrive at FRA on LH first class from SIN (terminating at FRA, no more flight after that), I am wondering how I would get to the FCL. Is there a screening security required before going to FCL? From reading here, I would be at terminal 1 pier B (non schengen area).
If security is required, without a departure boarding pass I would assume no access to FCL. Thanks for info and help.

If they ask tell them you are going to the FCL. After security turn right and go down one level. You will find yourself more or less at the bottom of an escalator taking you to the FCL.
** Last week I managed to go through transfer security in Z (coming from 1A non-Schengen bus arrival) without a departing boarding pass by telling security personnel that I wanted to go to the Senator lounge.

Haven't been to any F lounge yet, highest I managed was the SEN lounge in B last week, that was quite nice.
Cheers.

Oh yes.
I always like to arrive in FRA with Luxair i.e.
Landing in Kelsterbach (on 07L / 25R), taxiing to apron position V100 or so, then bus ride to B-Schengen and then heading to A through the beautiful tunnel,…
Nearly missed a flight recently although connecting time was 50 min. and LG landed on time.

Hello,
I will be flying from Kuala Lumpur - FRA via Doha with Qatar Airways.
I am planning to get Air Berlin ticket to fly to Berlin.
Connection flight will be around 1 hour 50 Minute and I will be traveling with middle age couple and one of them is visually impaired/blind.
My question is,
1) Do you thing 1 hour 50 Minute transit time is enough?
2) Qatar Airways and AirBerlin is part of One World, do you think I can gain benefit with this One World group even the flight will be on separate two ticket? Benefit I am talking about is, ability to check in baggage to final destination Berlin from Kuala Lumpur. And some kind of guarantee that they Qatar Airways will be responsible if i miss the connection?
Bare in mind it is 2 separate ticket/itineraries

Do they check BP when going from A to Z?
This is not my own question but I'd be interested to know the answer.
An FTer would like to meet a friend without a Schengen visa during his layover in FRA. The friend is likely to arrive in B (or Z) and depart from Z to JFK both on LH. If the FTer purchases a fully refundable ticket to a Schengen destination departing from A, will he be able to enter Z from A without a BP for a flight departing from Z?
I know access to Pier A is controlled by BP scanners. How about going from A to Z since I have no personal experience? In addition to passport control do they check BPs?

This thread is mainly about connecting between LH/Star Alliance flights at FRA T1. Despite joining oneworld recently QR still use T1 and AB use T2 along with other oneworld airlines. 1 hour 50 minutes should be enough for a connection between T1 and T2 if the incoming flight is on time. If you are on two separate tickets airlines are not normally responsible for missed connections. You may like to ask about checked baggage in the QR or oneworld forum.

I recently arrived at Z (unclean, i.e. the arrival corridor leading to transfer security). There were two sets of signs, one pointing towards the higher A gates (50 - 69 I think) and then one for lower A and B, C, D, E, Z. I followed the latter but I was wondering if I could have made a shortcut following the former - I was heading for the A SEN lounge, and basically everyone went for the second option making the lines long. What would have expected me following the A50-69 signs, where would I have ended up?

According to this post yes you should be able to check your baggage through to your final destination but you may like to check with QR to be certain.

My husband and I will be travelling DFW-FRA-FCO next week, DFW-FRA in F and FRA-FCO in C. This will be our first time in FRA, and I would like to walk to the FCT. LH439 seems to arrive everywhere, B bus gates, B gates, C gates, and rarely a Z gate.
It will not be that easy to convince hubby to do this (don't ask ). I am trying to prepare my speech with the advantages of doing so. After all my reading, I am still somewhat confused on some points.
If we head for the airport exit upon arrival, we will need to clear security AND passport control before exit? Or passport control only? I know we will need to clear security at the FCT. I was hoping to use the argument that security will be much easier there, but that will fall flat if we have to clear security twice.
Thanks for the assistance.
