We fly VIE-FRA-MUC-SFO F, (because our travel date no availability direct VIE-MUC so we connect in FRA)
I think I know the answer, but since Mrs. Adlibitum will be with me, want to be sure-
arriving at FRA we have access to and can walk to FCT because of F later that day (MUC-SFO). And since we come from VIE which is Schengen, no passport control, just walk out and turn left?

Guys, I need the wisdom of FT! Was wondering if booking a schengen to non/schengen 1h 20m connection at FRA in the middle-end of January seems like a sensible idea? I could possible get into FRA on an earlier flight, or if I miss the connection there is an other flight to my final destination, but the combination I am looking at now is actually quite perfect. Any comments?

Oh, yeah. Your right. We're talking about AMS-FRA-LED on LH; coming in at 1155, dep at 1315. I connected at FRA before (last summer), but don't remember a lot of it (just the seemingly long corridors and a long line at security)

I would totally book it. Schengen to non-Schengen is a piece of cake, and you don't have to clear any security, only passport control. Worst case scenario (if your flight from AMS is severely delayed etc.), they'll put you on the next flight to LED at 17:15.

I was trying to find a better map of T1 than on the FRA website and came across this Condor transfer guide.
I don't see the "Transfergang" near the C exit on any of the FRA website maps.
Since the hch's guide says "You will have to re-clear security once when walking landside" I'm wondering if that means there is a way to walk airside to from C-->B-->A to avoid a security re-screen. I just don't see where immigration would be going to A-Schengen gate.

45 minutes connection in FRA...
I'm flying PRG-FRA-MCO (LH 1395 - LH464). My layover in FRA is only 45 minutes. I am nervous, as this will be my first time in FRA (actually, second, if I count MCO-FRA-PRG with 2 hr connection on my way to PRG).
Flight 1395 arriving at Terminal 1, Gate A(40?)...Level 1...?
I keep tracking the flights and see that LH464 usually leaves from Z gates (50-69) on Level 3. How far is it from arrivals? Do I have to go through security and passport control before entering the "Z" section?
I read on the forum that there is a "Fast Lane" for connections of 30 minutes or less. Will I be able to go through it?
Will the plane wait for passengers with short connection times? (I'm secretly wishing that they will). I have been checking departure times of LH464 and they seem to leave a little later than the scheduled 1:35PM time.
I am grateful for any advice I can get!

See this post for my experience in January this year transferring from A to Z. From the recent postings, it seems that the access to Z at A26 may no longer be available, so this may add to the times.
I would consider my experience as a best case scenario for transferring A to Z, I had 80 minutes, I don't think I would be comfortable with 45.
