See this post for my experience in January this year transferring from A to Z. From the recent postings, it seems that the access to Z at A26 may no longer be available, so this may add to the times.
I would consider my experience as a best case scenario for transferring A to Z, I had 80 minutes, I don't think I would be comfortable with 45.

I will try to be optimistic and go by your post:
"Without the lounge, A34 to Z58 is doable in 15-20 minutes."
It gives me hope
I would like to know: if skipping the lounge, do I just take the escalator from A to Z? Is that all?
Do I have to go through any security checks (for my carry on) or is there just a passport control?

I'm flying PRG-FRA-MCO (LH 1395 - LH464). My layover in FRA is only 45 minutes. I am nervous, as this will be my first time in FRA (actually, second, if I count MCO-FRA-PRG with 2 hr connection on my way to PRG).
Flight 1395 arriving at Terminal 1, Gate A(40?)...Level 1...?
I keep tracking the flights and see that LH464 usually leaves from Z gates (50-69) on Level 3. How far is it from arrivals? Do I have to go through security and passport control before entering the "Z" section?
I read on the forum that there is a "Fast Lane" for connections of 30 minutes or less. Will I be able to go through it?

I went to check the newly refurbished A26 Business Lounge the other day but forgot to check if the nearby passport control into Z Pier was open. All I noticed was the letter Z on the sign at the top of the escalator was back to front.

I went to the A26 lounge this morning (just before 08:00), and while the Z passport control section and sign were lit and the queue lines in place, no one was actually manning the counters. This leads me to believe that they only open this passport control point at certain times of day, and I was probably too early.

Arriving from Mumbai and onward to Helsinki, both legs are on Lufthansa. We have 90 mins. changing time at FRA. Is that OK ? Dont need to shop but smoke a cigarette atleast

YYZ-FRA-PRG - 65 mins connection
Is 65 mins enough to connect from arrival in Term 1 C to AB? Seems short and I have to clear passport check....no checked luggage but no time for the lounge either.

Hi Cindi,
Assuming the incoming flight is on time there shouldn't be any problem. Immigration is usually fast and the pure walking time is about 15-20mins (depending on the exact gate location of the connecting flight).
