Hi,
I have asked this question in "Destinations/Europe/Germany" but received suggestion that this thread would be more suitable, so here I am I'll arrive to MUC T2 (Schengen) on LH flight and will have approx. 2,5 hours break before next LH flight from T2 (also Schengen). I'll be traveling in Y and I don't have *A status, so I won't have access to lounges in T2. However, I may use Priority Pass lounges in T1, so I'd like to go there between my flights. Is the shuttle bus between terminals the only way I can go from T2 to T1 and back from T1 to T2 without leaving transit zone and without security control? I've found a thread at tripadvisor (https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopi...a_Bavaria.html), where one of users claims that airside walking connection between both terminals exists (page 3 and 4). Do you know anything about such connection?
Alternatively, in case I decide to leave transit area and walk out of T2, will I be allowed to enter T1 airside on basis of Boarding Pass for flight from T2?

Honestly, I recommend to stay in T2 or the satellite and enyoy the shops, restaurants or relaxing areas there.
In my opinion, no lounge in T1 does worth a detour from T2 to T1.
Even going landside and enjoying a beer in the Airbrau restaurant is much better than any T1 lounge.

MUC has to be one of the easiest airports I've ever encountered for connections; even if, like me you're having to collect your bags, clear immigration and customs, go landside and check in again (thanks to security at my originating airport, when travelling via MUC, they won't interline the bags with other Star Alliance airlines).
Very well laid out terminals; they reckon you can walk from one end of the main T2 terminal to the other in less than 10 minutes, but I think you might have to be an Olympic walking race entrant for that , and the automated train makes passing between the two T2 terminals a doddle.
Lots of shops and catering outlets; even an airside Airbrau beer garden (admittedly inside the terminal), but the Centrum shopping and dining area, landside, offers even more options; amazingly the airport seems to be seen as just another place to socialise and the prices aren't hiked up as is normally the case.
TBH., I've come to see MUC as being my connecting airport of choice; having sampled many of the other Euro hubs in recent years.

Just because I didn’t see it here, and I wanted to know beforehand, I can explain that arrivals to gate T02S are by bus from the aircraft. When I arrived on LH CityLine from a Schengen airport (BSL), I was dropped off at grade level, then took a stairway/escalator up one level to the G gate area, near G30.

There is definitely no airside walking connection between T2 and T1. Yes, shuttle bus is the only way to stay airside.

Like tropikey, I have a Priority Pass lounge pass. I was thinking it would be nice to use the Atlantic lounge at MUC to take a shower after the overnight flight. I have plenty of time to transit between terminals. A couple of questions though.
What terminal does United arrive? What terminal does Lufthansa depart from (I've read 2).
The Priority pass page says the Atlantic Lounge is for non-Schengen flights only - does that include our arrival flight?
Somewhere I read that United won't transfer my checked luggage to Lufthansa in MUC, that I would have to go to baggage claim to retrieve and recheck. That seems absurd - any truth?
Thanks.

To follow up on this, we're on an overnight IAD/MUC arriving at 7:30 am and departing 10:30 am MUC/NAP. Incoming on United, departing on Lufthansa. Can you tell this is an award reservation?

If this is booked on one ticket your bags will be checked through to NAP!

Thank you for your reply. A shower is the largest reason we want to use the T1 lounge.
As I understand MUC, we would be moving within the secure area and not be subject to additional screening. Is that correct?

Although Munich Airport's website does not mention them I believe there are airside public showers in T2 Satellite. The photo was taken on T2S level L (non-Schengen) near the entrance to the First Class Lounge.
LH.com's information on MUC T2 Satellite says the following:
All passengers in the Terminal 2-Satellite will be able to find peace and relaxation in the spacious waiting areas with their comfortable relax loungers. Families with children can relax and enjoy themselves in those waiting areas with play zones. If you want to work, there are Wi-Fi, power sockets and USB connections available. And if you need to freshen up, you can treat yourself to a refreshing shower.

Indian passport and US Green Card holder, economy class with 2 checked bags tagged for thru check-in EWR-BOM
LH-413 EWR - MUC arr 10:30 AM on Sat Feb 24, 2018
LH-764 MUC - BOM dep 11:35 AM on Sat Feb 24, 2018 ( 65 mins connection )
The comment "Often delayed by 30+ min" on Google Flights site for LH-413 worries me a little about making this connection. But, the same comment is there for both these flights.
So is this doable with a carry-on in tow ? TIA

If coming from a secure, non-Schengen country, the train between T2 and T2S has a non-Schengen part for that scenario.
This also allows F/HON to use the passport control in the lounges when doing a H to K or L to G transfer.

So passengers arriving from clean non-Schengen countries can transfer to other flights while remaining 'clean'.
