Can anyone share recent upgrade fees from emerald to the better villas? Looking through the thread, all I see is upgrade rates from when the points booked into the coral suite... Would be very appreciated!
Edit- Just saw a report from December with a fee from emerald to sapphire of 15,000 XPF per night + 14%. Does anyone know the rates for further room categories?

On that note, ouch... Obviously, they are free to charge whatever they like and maybe those redeeming points are more willing to shell out cash for these rooms. However, compared to cash rates, these are pretty pricey..
On cash rates, the incremental rates (from Emerald) are only:
Sapphire: 8,500 XPF
Diamond: 14,000 XPF
Diamond End of Pontoon: 17,000 XPF
Diamond Otemanu: 25,000 XPF
Apples and oranges, I know.

Is the difference from Emerald to Sapphire just the location? That's about $85US, for me it would have to be a major upgrade and location for it to be worth it.

The difference is solely location/view. All bungalows are exactly the same layout with the same amenities offered. Some people actually prefer Sapphire over Diamond as the water at the end of the pontoon is a couple of feet deeper (and not suitable for children). It is all a matter of personal preference. Whichever bungalow you receive I am certain that you will have an absolutely beautiful time!

I agree! We didn't but there are a few around. That was just an example - my partner does not like "deeper" water and would have been more comfortable swimming off of a bungalow slightly closer to shore. #208 is a Sapphire with a decent privacy (and the water is not too deep).

@cloisterman (or anyone who knows about this...)
Regarding point #2: discounted meal plan at check-in...
Could you provide a specific cost breakdown? As I understand your post, you are saying that you and your partner had to prepay 2000xpf per person to cover breakfast, and then some additional amount for lunch and/or dinner. I'm contemplating going this route, but haven't been able to figure out exactly how much I am paying and how much I'll be getting.
