Currently at IC Berlin.
"Welcomed" by a non smiling trainee who did not know anything neither about RA, and had to insist to get my room:
"Sir, check-in time is 3pm"
The most amazing thing is that I got the same answer after he checked with his manager:
"Sir, check-in is possible at 8am only if there is a room available"
Are you kidding?
And of course a room was available.

Hi

I booked 2 award nights for December weekend. Maybe some of you knows how much hotel charges for breakfast in pounds per person? Is it worth it to pay? I was also thinking about going to another nearby hotel for breakfast (HI, Hampton etc).

thanks.

Breakfast offering in the lounge is about the same as in the restaurant. Views in the lounge are much better. Perhaps worth it to buy access if you are an ambassador?
IMO breakfast is very decent, although not over the top (no champagne etc).

I am pretty sure you should be able to pay the £25 for 2 persons

RA and Amb's Lounge access is for a discounted upsell rate of £65 + vat = £78, same rate for 2015 as last year 2014.

However be warned IC-PL is possibly starting to try and make Lounge less crowded more rarified/eclusive and is thus capping numbers of guests with access

Even as an RA my last checkin I was told no I can't upsell to Lounge
(but with other incorrect issues too from that checkin lady, I am not sure if that is really policy to deny RA the upsell)

Cookbook Cafe breakfast is I think £35 a head.

Nearby Automat and the Wolesley both do a nice breakfast at a less eye watering rate. You will be lucky to pay less than £25 at another hotel for a much more dismal offering than that at the IC.

Anyone knows the opening hours of the club lounge?
Finally decided to book one night by C+P and the other night by cash. I am wondering if I booked the London executive room by night, will I be able to stay in the same executive room for 2 nights and have the club lounge access?
