A. No.
- Q. If I book a stay using a cash and points rate, does that count as a "stay" towards my Into The Nights offers?
A. No.
- Q. Will stays booked via a consolidator (like TravelPony) or other public travel portal or points portal count towards this promo?
A. No. Your stays must be booked directly with IHG on their website or on their app. However, if you are booking through your corporate portal at work, this may post if such stays usually earn you base points.
- Q. How long will it take for my points to post?
A. Normally they post within a week or two.
- Q. How long after stay points post to my IHG account is it until my personal Into the Nights dashboard is updated showing progress in my offers?
A. The Tuesday after the stay points post to account. (edit: has been Thursday lately, November)
- Q. Where can I find the Bonus Point package with Breakfast rate?
A. Click here to book Bonus Points Package with (or without) Breakfast rate.
NOTE: Make sure that your email confirmation states something like this:

Otherwise you booked the wrong rate type. This type of rate also comes in a 1000 point version.

A. No
- Q. What are the conditions for the free nights being awarded?
A. Free nights must be redeemed by December 31st, 2015 and must be claimed by January 31st, 2015 or members will automatically be awarded applicable points. Free Nights can only be used in participating IHG hotels and may not be transferred. A Free Night is valid only for one standard room night rate and applicable taxes (not including breakfast). Redemption is subject to availability of the rooms of hotels specially provided for this promotion. The hotel rooms hotels specially provided for this promotion shall be determined at IHG’s discretion.
- Q.I chose the 2 free nights award, how do I book them?
A. Go to your My Account page on ihg.com (after logging in). On the left hand masthead you will see an option labeled "Free Night Status". The page will show how many free nights you have available and provides a way to book the nights. Note that it's a bit clumsy -- an initial search will show that the lowest price is Free, but until you click thru you won't know if it's really available for your preferred nights.
- Q. Can I trade the free nights?
A. Not on FlyerTalk. They are specifically designated non-transferable.

I was given the same task for 250 miles. The IHG app was downloaded seven weeks ago but nothing has happened since. IHG seems to have a problem here. I contacted IHG already four times about this issue with no result.

Also, I'm not sure you really NEED to download the app. I clicked the link for good measure, but I already have the app on my phone that I use for one or two other IHG accounts. I just made sure I booked through it, and the task posted, so I guess as long as you click the link and as long as you log in from the app and book, it appears to be okay.

I am forwarding the response from the IHG Rewards Club Service Center. Kindly refer to the following information on this email regarding your concerns you brought about on your previous email.
Please be advised that in order for a stay to qualify for the Into the Nights promotion, the rate used must be a "qualifying rate". As such, stays booked using "non-qualifying" rates will not count towards the promotion.
According to the IHG Rewards Club Terms and Conditions, most rates will earn credit to your account, however, others will not. In addition, IHG Rewards Club credit is awarded for the majority of rates IHG offers to business and leisure travelers. Deeply discounted rates, which may be 30% off the hotel's regular rate or more, do not qualify for points.
To understand when you will earn credit for stays and which stays are eligible for credit, please review sections 11 & 12 specifically. For your reference, we have included the information on Section 12 - Limits on Points for Stays:
Points are not issued for stays at the following reduced room rates (“Non-Qualifying Room Rates”; “Non-Qualifying Stay”): net wholesale individual and group rate, package rate, employee discount rate, crew rate, seasonal worker/crew rate, 50% travel club discount rate, industry discount rate, distressed passenger rate, IHG Rewards Club Reward Nights/Airline Hotel Reward rate, most rates booked through most third party web sites, complimentary hotel stays or any other rates not defined as a Qualifying Room Rate.

conflicting promotion status between website and email
My promotion status on the Into the Nights webpage hasn't changed in over a month (still shows just 1 activity completed - the survey).
Oddly, I just received an email this morning stating I have completed 3 activities. (even this isn't correct, because based on the stays the email is counting I've actually completed 4 offers)
My IHG account hasn't received point credit for anything except the survey.
Are they ever going to get this promo sorted out?

For the app question: I booked with the same app I have had on my iPhone (no new download or anything) and now finally have credit for 3 nights booked with that app.
Update: Actually, my email dashboard may be correct, it does not seem to have the capability to show HOW FAR in progress an offer is, only if it has been started or completed or not started.

Ditto for me. The email dashboard is not quite up to date but a lot better than the log in dashboard, but here's to hoping (again) that the Tuesday update will show it all on the log in dashboard with the points awarded.

Not getting any email communications (Incl the one IHG Cares posted about last week). I have all my preferences for emails clicked (except the IHG Family of brands which is just IHG Dining), so not sure if they are sending communications in batches or just to Premier members (just a regular one here). I completed all the offers last week, but had 4 completed 3 weeks ago and still show 2 completed (after they removed one). Sure would be nice for them to get things sorted out!
