Just took a quick peek for a partner redemption: India-East Coast is 60k one-way in Y.
Double that in biz = 120k in J??!
J.et P.eanuts!

but I was offered Europe-DEL yesterday at 46K miles with YR/YQ so 42 is less than 46

I just checked partners, and the new chart is 42k for partner metal, one-way in Y.
I tried (of course unsuccessfully with the clueless JP characters on e-mail who never even bothered to respond) in May 2015 where they quoted 41k for a partner redemption on LH from Europe-BOM. (Stopover in FRA) Just a data point for reference - so it hasn't gone up more than 1k there.
Note the fee quote for that itinerary (in biz):
"We wish to inform you that the approximate taxes/fees/Surcharges amount applicable for your itinerary is INR 18,08x/- per guest for your travel on XXXXXX to XXXXXX on Lufthansa."
(Not sure if this will change by any measure after this revamp)
Also note this caveat:
"This is with reference to your redemption request on our partner airline.
We wish to inform you that we cannot book Business class and First class segment on the same PNR.
Hence, we regret we are unable to offer you any positive answer in this regard."
If anyone has managed to violate the above statement, please do post here or let me know, so I can *try* my hardest to burn my miles ASAP!

It seems to have gone up in all zones! There were some sweet spots which have now been taken out.

The miles required for partner redemptions seem to have gone up substantially over some sectors. I redeemed HKG-AKL and SYD-HKG, in J, for significantly fewer miles, sometime last year.
The silver lining is that the chart makes the miles required for partner redemptions more transparent.
I have come to expect constant devaluations in the value of JP miles and also constant downward revisions in the perks of being a JP platinum. Over the past year, I gave 9W just enough business to retain my plat status and shifted a chunk of my travel to other carriers/alliances; not sure I want to retain plat and collect JP miles anymore.

Talking about partner redemptions I had a situation today where the seats were available on KLM and they refused to book them saying they could not see them. Ended up booking the seats through DL. I don't know why that department is kept behind locked doors. If I could have spoken to someone I am sure they would have found the seats if directed.

Yeah but they have such incompetent staff that are locked behind closed doors so one can't speak with them. I have faced this sort of issues before with other airlines but you can often walk them through and the availability magically appears. Frustrating!

I actually have done this on many occasions via e-mail - but they kept pretending not to understand or asking even more stupid questions, eventually saying there was no availability - because they took over 1.5 weeks to revert!
One time they never even replied to me, and I reminded after 1 month - and of course the flights were then not available, *or* they "couldn't book F + J"!!
Biggest joke in the world - JetPrivilege!

Maybe that's intentional?
