I am planning to travel from PNQ-AUH-JFK-AUH-DEL in Business class with the following itinerary:
PNQ-AUH (9W-Jet); AUH-JFK (EY); JFK-AUH (EY); AUH-DEL (9W).
I have a EtihadGuest Silver and JetPrivilege Platinum. In which of these frequent flyer program should I accumulate the miles to maximize the benefits?
I feel that though it might seem that I might accumulate more miles in 9W JetPrivilege due to Platinum status but that might be deceiving and not true.
Any expert comments / experience?

If you don't fly or plan to fly Etihad frequently, then it would be tough to accumulate enough miles to get a decent redemption / upgrade award on EY.
Domestic redemptions are decent value for Jet and very easy to redeem unlike their partner redemptions.
Check out your ticket class and miles they accrue on Jet and EY (available online in JP site). Basis the above considerations, decide.

Then apply your tiered bonuses for 9W Plat and EY Silver to each one of those sector miles and see where you come out ahead.

I had to cancel a domestic economy W class ticket. The agent informed me that this is a non refundable ticket and even though I am a Platinum member, only taxes would be refunded.
I can not find any such info on the website. Can anybody confirm this?

IMO, for platinum members ticket cancellation charges on non refundable tickets are waived off only if the same is canceled atleast 24 hours before flight time

Jet cancelled my flight due to weather last year and they took 4-5 months and 10+ emails to refund that. Good luck.

Jet airways new award chart for partner airlines
I have 6K miles sitting and thought I would redeem them for a SFO-YVR leg only to realize they have "updated" the miles required. Can any one confirm based on this chart that I will need 15K miles to fly from SFO to YVR one way? I don't see YVR mentioned in the chart and have also not heard from Jet airways after emailing them. http://www.jetairways.com/documents/...-structure.pdf

Hi guys,
Just want to asks some clarifications. I have both TK Gold and Alitalia Gold. If I take a flight with 9W, can I ask my miles to be credited to TK, whilst using the perks with AZ (i.e. extra baggage and lounge)

Yes, you can. Include your TK # in your rez/at check-in and show your AZ card for the amenities. FYI, you ONLY get bonus miles on TK, NOT status miles.

In this example, if it pulls up the TK status, flashing the AZ card would suffice?
Or, get miles on EY and get lounge access due to 9W status?
