I have 2700 JP Miles expiring on 30 Sep 2016 and i dont' plan on using them at all. I try not to fly 9W, even if i do, i would rather credit my miles to UA.

Should i just let them expire? Can i donate them to any charity? whats the minimum for any sort of redemption?

Redeemed today

Finally, after a lot of hard work redeemed today

2 J tix - DEL-AUH-SYD

100,000 JP Miles per person + 18K INR in Taxes ...

Did I get a good deal?

Considering we get to enjoy EY J for 14 hours from AUH to SYD

100k each.. That's still a great deal especially considering you'll get to fly the amazing A380 product.

It was 100K each - but I feel still a decent one ...

I think we are on the 777 and NOT the 380

I guess 100k buys you a one way to LHR with some change left over so yours is a good deal.

77W are pretty good planes in J and service is quite attentive.

Make sure you get your priority immigration cards. EY crew forgets to give them out often.

You won't get a PJ on DEL-AUH, on AUH-SYD sometimes they hand them out, sometimes you have to ask for them.

Hi Flyers
I am a recent JP Platinum completing 1 year and got my membership renewed for this year.
I wanted to know few details like how many upgrade vouchers does JP credit?
I got only 3 instead of the 5, so was wondering if I was downgraded or that is the norm of getting renewed.
Regards,
Ameya

i am sure most of you must have received the following email by now:

Hello Keyser,

Thank you for being part of our growing family, all these years.

We understand your penchant for travel, discovery and lifestyle.

Your passion for collecting miles and the value you attach to them has inspired us to go that extra mile and reward you at every step.

Watch out for something new on November 14.

We're busy putting it all together for you and hence we will take a 24-hour break starting 3 PM on 13 Nov'19. You will not be able to use our website and systems during this period. We’ll be back on 14 Nov'19, with something you’ll surely love.

Warm Regards,
The JetPrivilege Team
i'm scared to think what this thing is going to be that we will surely love....between my family & me, we still have around 150k unused miles....have been using them slowly for redemption on other airlines & for hotel bookings....terrible value but something is better than nothing....

Who is still earning JP miles? And why?

What’s the point of continuing this programme and not just shutting shop... other than the windfall profits they made from the buy any ticket with JP miles deal.

It’s not like elite status is going to get you anything meaningful unless you maybe only travel EY now...

i don't think anyone is still earning jp miles....people are just trying to get rid of the miles they earned when the airline still existed....

no clue what they are going to come up with on the 14th....i can only hope its slightly better redemption value than what they are offering at the moment....

I'm still earning on certain credit cards and default shopping portals - no other options...

Further, on the JP website they state that Partner Awards not available now - anyone know why not?? Have a (blank)-load of miles I couldn't burn earlier, so need to get decent redemption value, preferably on EY!

That can't be true. If nobody was earning JP miles and therefore JP thought nobody would want to earn any more JP miles they would have continued their awful redemption programme giving them spectacular profit. Why are they wasting their efforts coming up with a new programme? Just to make everyone burn their miles faster so they can finally close the company and go home?

I would have got new credit cards a long time ago. And if EY is your preferred airline... SBI has a great card!

that wasn't meant to be taken literally....what i meant was that your savvy frequent flyer would have by now switched to other options....maybe there are still some people who are using the jet privilege booking engine to credit miles to 9w....i actually did that recently....had to take a flight where 6e was the only option....i could have booked on the 6e website & earned nothing or for the same price i could book on the jet privilege website & earned 350 miles for the round trip ticket....i guess i'm just a creature of habit where it bugs the living daylights out of me if i fly without earning any miles on any one of the frequent flyer programs i'm a part of....

those with existing 9w credit cards would still continue to earn 9w miles....i still have my hdfc 9w card....i haven't used it in the longest time but i still have it....my brother on the other hand uses his hdfc 9w card on a daily basis....he doesn't really care about frequent flyer programs & for him it makes no difference if he continues to use this card or switches over to another one....

i have no clue what jet privilege is up to now....their redemption options are awful but they know that people with miles to burn don't have a choice....they can either use their miles against these awful rates or just let the miles expire....either way, jet privilege comes out ahead....
