Could call them them and ask.
I just figured I get about 19,000+ JP miles on each Jet ticket using my HDFC card. Would Jet be a good option? What about 1 stop flights - Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Oman Omain is not a first choice, but its the cheapest by a wide margin, and could get even sweeter, only downside, it has one flight a day, if you miss the connection, you are stuck. What is Airline policy if you miss the connection? |

with jet u could also use the coupon code JTHDFC for a discount of 5% on base fare. I can't see how you are looking at economy and earning 19K miles per ticket, because that would need the ticket to be about 158K INR in Y?
Edit: Would have to convert my existing HDFC world card to Jet co branded |
Lifemiles will get you an rt for ~80k in Biz. Probably worth the fare difference.

Right, it would be ~80k if you don't have any miles. If you had miles already, it would be less obviously.
Edit: Well you do have to pay minimum 40% by miles. but it was turning out to be a sweet deal in Biz via Swiss not so much in Y class Thank you for this tip |

18 JP Miles for every 150 spent on Jetairways.com =7300, About 8,900 miles for the tickets itself, 1,500 for online booking and web check in. Oooops that is about 17,700 for a ticket price of ~ 61000 with discount.

Yep. However, you do have to deal with award availability (not all seats available for sale are available for award).
But Lifemiles sells miles at 1.5 cents per mile multiple times each year, so it's not too much of an issue with some planning ;) I tried to see if they could be bought, but couldn't find any way, I was not aware of this promotion they have. I guess I have a LOONNNNNNNGG way to go in learning about the intricacies of the air line alliance system. |
