If UA reissued a ticket into LH O class, then it is responsible for (50% of) $0, since O class is valueless. For this reason, the receiving carrier (in this case LH) generally wouldn't accept the ticket, since they don't want to be flying around other airlines' customers for "free" (Star Alliance funny money). The only reason I can think of that this would have worked is they might have an agreement as part of the UA-LH Joint venture. But this is highly annoying :td: Not only do I have to go after an OAL reroute from now on, I have to go after a non-JV partner too :( :( |
