4/5 or 8 using your premiermiles card. you still earn 10 miles per 100 rs. ;)

I would pick one of these. Most likely the former.

i need to make a trip bom-del-bom in april and i have way too many options to choose from and am totally confused with what to go for.

listing out the options, please help me make my decision
1) redeem on flying returns for 19000 miles and 1845 rupees (incidentally taxes out of bombay have become more than out of delhi airport now)

2) redeem on jet privilege for 16800 miles and 2630 rupees.

3) redeem on premier miles website on any lcc for 17976 miles and 0 rupees.

4) book on airindia.in for 9391 rupees in W class

5) book on jet konnect (operated by jet airways) for 9391 rupees in G class

6) book on jet airways.com for 10157 in W class

7) travel subject to availability in jet airways for 7800 rupees (no mileage earning)

8) book on one of the 3 lcc's for 8866

using this exercise to determine how i plan my purchase of tickets in the future also without spending one hour on research. any help appreciated.
booked on premier miles website for air india tickets. thought of picking up jet as i would get 2 tier points and would have got the next tier of membership but realised there is no point and anyway those miles would have been pretty useless. have been banking all my miles to flying returns so stuck with air india. booked on premier miles as i had a discount code of 1000 rupees for their ongoing promotion and by doing this booking got another 1000 rupees discount code. lost on the 500 miles i would have got booking on airindia.in but then wouldnt have been able to use the discount code.

it is so easy to be amongst the first 15 does it mean not many people are using their booking service.

thanks all for your suggestion. made the decision easier.

Good move. If you can I would also upgarde your hard disc to a SSD. Costs around £120 for a 256GB now and you can just clone all your software across so no need to mess around with settings and passwords.

It makes so much difference. My Windows 7 used to take around a 1min30 seconds to boot and stop loading programs in the back ground. Now it takes 20 seconds.

Excel would take 10 seconds to open up after double click now it takes 1-2 secs. ^^

Ditto! In both respects. :D

I am also now using the 12.5' Dell Latitude 6230, and am quite happy with it. This little one is way more useful than the earlier big bulky one. And way better to travel with. Like a wise man once said, it isn't all about size, it is also what you do with it. Giggity. :p ;)

So I got my notebook on moday, turns out someone in procurement had half a brain and spec-ed in a 128 GB Liteon SSD :D

But man, Win 7 sucks in terms of admin rights a user has... they shut down any all nearly all settings a normal user can change :td:

Yup. They are there at almost every airport. The only thing is I feel too sorry for them as they have to sit in the sun all day long.

oliver2002 Apr 16, 2013 5:20 am

Western airports have automated bird scaring ... common practice.

Hello,

Just discovered this forum today. I + 3 will be travelling to UK in Mid September for 2 weeks. I have been shopping online for tickets / hotels etc. First trip to UK and am wondering if this is the best way, or a Travel Agent?

All the sites seem to have pretty much the same prices, Is there any way to get special deals ? And what would be the best airlines to travel on in this sector?

TIA
