Booked 4 Partner Award tickets!

Yay! Used my JP Miles to book 4 intra-zone return award tickets in a partner airline.

Spent 20K miles and INR ~2200 for a $1280 worth ticket! A redemption value of 6.4 cents per mile.

It seems HDFC Mastercard Jet privilege Platinum card no longer allows Lounge access

I flew on 19th July from BOM, where i was allowed access to the Clipper lounge, however on recent trips to DEL and CCU [30/31st July] was told at Plaza premium lounge and Clipper lounge respectively, that HDFC has withdrawn lounge access as of 22nd July ,
This after they swiped my card to check

Real unfortunate and devalues the HDFC Mastercard

Had to wiki it:

In Malaysia the title "Datuk" have two meanings, the formal and informal ones. The informal ones holds that Datuk is equivalent to one's "grandfather" or to refer male elder. Other function is a formal honorific style both in traditional and stately titles.
Datuk is a federal title that has been conferred since 1965. It is limited to recipients of Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN), of which there may be up to 200 living at any one time, and Panglima Setia Diraja (PSD), of which there may be up to 200 living at any one time. The PJN and PSD rank 9th and 10th respectively in the rank of federal awards.
I think Lion takes the cake, but Doctor Professor, Dr. Mr. etc. are probably the snobbiest :D

Strange they have Sir & Lord (and Datuk), no Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, or Padma Shri??

Lion might have something to do with the 'Lion's Club'? Like Rotarians.

Does anyone know of any Indian bank that issues a credit card with no foreign transaction fee?

Bravo Jet Irways !

Wife traveling J Award ticket from AA miles . Return booked on AMD BOM HKG (on 9 W), HKG ORD on CX J.

Jet refuses on phone (both India & USA) as to what are the baggage policies. Says AA must "enter " it on the E ticket. AA EXP line says no such thing/ mecanism exists. Simply ask 9 W to call CX to confirm policy. 9 W refuses to do so. When I asked for their policy on J Intl. bookings, he wanted me to book passage before he could answer!
Net result ? Switched BOM HKG to CX. Problem solved. 9 W lost one J pax, lost 2 J pax for future travels.

When can we learn to be logical service minded Airlines ?
