Anyone think that Airtel will actually launch 4G services by Diwali? BTW they still haven't launched 3G in Punjab despite Reliance having it for 2-3 years now.

at&t recently started selling unlocked phones....earlier you had to get them unlocked unofficially, which meant that you could not update your phone or they would get locked....now getting a factory unlocked phone or one unlocked from at&t give you the option to upgrade your software anytime you want....

upgraded to ios 6 last night....the new maps are pretty cool....

Waiting for my new iPhone to come through tomorrow. :) Can't wait to try the new Maps.

will be in london tomorrow....good opportunity to play around with the new iphone at the apple shop tomorrow....i still think i'm going to wait till i'm in the states next month before i buy it....

Indian 4G will not be compatible with the iPhone AFAIK.

if i'm not mistaken, airtel launched 4g in bengalooru earlier this year....

they did, calcutta and bangalore. but the Indian version operates on a 2300 MHz frequency whereas iPhone 5 is caliberated to catch 4G on 700 MHz and 2100 MHz. thoda sa fight hai ;)

Downloaded iOS6 on my ipad 2 last night, none of the features knocked me out, the maps look awfully close to the google map that was in there before, just a few tweaks to the UI and a new look here and there :rolleyes:

few noticeable differences....nothing too great....i like the maps on the ipad....the feature on the iphone to reply with a message when you can't take a call is nice....i like the maps although they are pretty similar to the google maps....

A type of free GPS.

What's the big deal, sygic maps are pretty cool, though you got to pay for it.

Is it just me but I can't seem to get directions to anywhere on the new maps application.
