I knew Zaheer would always select himself, but I didn't realize Zaheer's effect on the team, good show. Hope we do to SA what they did on our last tour in SA where SA came back from 1 down to win the series 2-1

There was an interesting stat - Dravid and Sachin have horrible averages at the Durban pitch. Our two best batsmen failing on classic fast pitches.

Here is a little debate, for overseas tests, who is more important: Dravid or Sachin? I hope I won't lose my neck for saying this, but me thinks its a tie between the two.

this is a tough one....dravid has the better record overseas but having sachin in the team is a psychological boost for every other player in the team....it also puts the fear of god in the other team....

Took off before a EK Airbus A330 today in a Piper. Was parked up thinking I would get clearance after it took off but ATC asked me to do a turn around mid way on the Runway and do a quick take off. Was such a thrill. Loved taking off next to a big bird.

Yep. Told you before? Been flying for a while now. First time today that I actually realized how amazing the Airbus 330 is when you are sat in a little mini next to it.

More than Jadeja's innings, the most memorable moment for me was Venkatesh Prasad dismissing Aamer Sohail. There was a moment of pure silence followed by the Indians going bonkers and the Pakistanis sinking back into their seats.

I think that would be every Indian cricket fan's most favourite cricket moment. Atleast for those of us who weren't around when the 1983 World Cup happened ;-)

I'm quite the opposite, and in agreement with B747. I'd much rather watch an F1 race on a big screen TV (and to be honest, my interest in F1 has been dwindling since Schumacher retired!).

Watching live cricket, on the other hand, is something I have experienced and would gladly do so again. Admittedly, it was at the comparatively sedate environs of the Sydney Cricket Ground (always wanted to but never got around to watching a game live at Wankhede!!). A great day that started at 7AM, and when beer was consumed before breakfast, all through the day, and till after dinner! A day made worth every dollar spent, as I got to see the little master himself score his latest century at SCG. Nothing compares to the goosebumps I felt as he stroked Stuart Clark to the boundary and the entire stadium, Indians and Australians alike, rose in an applaud that lasted well over a minute. Thrilling!!!

Next on the cards, a possible trip to Lords or the Oval in July/August 2011 for an "FT Cricket Meet" being vaguely discussed in the Ashes thread in OMNI.

Reports say that Steyn bowled very well to Sachin today, anyone see it? Is it true?

Today's show was brilliant. Steyn was truly en fuego and any lesser batsman than Sachin would have been out 10 times over.

Has anyone wondered why India seems to struggle more against SA in SA than against Aus in Aus?

Wickets in Australia (more so when India has toured in the recent years) are not as conducive to pace and seam as those in South Africa. Even WACA, in the recent years has been on the slower side (the last test there two weeks ago being a glorious exception!)

Would be interesting to see how India go if the WACA and MCG wickets during the tour in late 2011 will be similar to the one's against England.

Theoretically, a test match has 4 innings, right? (not all of them need to be played compulsorily though). This refers to the 3rd amongst those 4. In effect, it could either be:

1.) Second innings of the team that batted first in the first innings, OR
2.) Second innings of the team that batted second in the first innings and is following on (having scored 200+ runs less than other team's total)
