As someone who counts myself as a fan of both, I can confidently state that baseball is geared towards those with lower intellect and no sense of strategy.

The only real complexity in baseball comes when trying to explain the infield fly rule.

This is what I thought too. I never understood why the players get paid millions of dollars for simply throwing a ball or simply hitting a ball.

Now aren't the both of you just talking about the same sport? You both swing a bat to hit a tiny ball right? :D:D

^I recently talked to my colleague about cricket. I mentioned that baseball descended from cricket and that it became a butchered version of cricket just like American english. Didn't register too well. :D

As someone who has played both at a competitive level, I can confidently state that baseball requires a lot more strategy than cricket :)

Skills transfer over easily - I scared the beejesus out of our baseball coach when I instinctively caught a hard hit with my right hand.

I saw some ppl playing baseball and noticed the gloves. I remarked to myself as to how soft these Americans are.

does anyone know what the best pre-paid sim card would be for someone traveling to the US????

i have a regular at&t contract but i need to get something for my wife when she accompanies me there....she uses a lot of data on her iphone so she basically needs something with minimum call value & maximum data value....

i know t-mobile has pre-paid sims....does anyone know if any other carrier offers them as well????

You are either stuck with t-mobile, or you could get a mobile hotspot from Verizon. Not sure if they have pay-as-you-go plans...

that's what i figured....couldn't find anything else besides t-mobile....

this is an area where i feel the US is really far behind....in asia & europe its so easy to get pre-paid sims from a multiple number of carriers in each country....

MetroPCS has unlimited talk, text, web etc for 50$ or so. No contracts.
Other things are: StraightTalk (unlimited everything for 40$ or so) No contract.

Also check VirginMobile. (Uses Sprint Network...so it will suck everywhere!)

StraightTalk is from Walmart, uses Verizon network. (it wont suck everywhere).
