They'll be back in the dressing room in a fizzy, doesn't make sense. Only way is to have Sehwag strike a few in the first session - get India to 120 odd for 1-2 (not including Sehwag) and then, VVS and the Master do the remaining. If it comes to the tailenders or the out-of-form Pujara/Dravid, it's as good as over for India.

25 years ago, India chased down 348 (well...almost) on Day 5 in hot and humid conditions at the Chepauk. It took a solid start from the top order of Gavaskar, Srikkanth and Amarnath along with some gutsy hitting from Shastri to make a match of it. Need Sehwag, VVS and Master to do something similar.

Either ways, I see a result coming out of this match - Steyn and Sehwag are "all or nothing" sort of players!

I agree and my reasoning is India being such a populous country, citizens are always in a hurry to beat the crowd. e.g. like in any train, 10 min prior to station, everybody is gathering their belongings and rushing to the door even though its the final destination.
It'll take time to move from the train mentality to the air travel norms, at least thats my hope :)

Why does India not want the umpire review system???

http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/co...ry/495681.html

They were supposed to take us to see its use in the Ashes series but I did not go. We have made our presentation to the ICC, saying we are just not convinced about the technology."

There are lot of speculations, major one being how the bookies will make money ;) with URS almost everything will be transparent and knowing BCCI, they are severely allergic to transparency.

Its all about BCCI flexing its muscles and wanting ICC to follow them instead of them following the latter. They turned it down couple of years ago on the pretext of uniform application but for almost a year now they are saying technology is not good. One wonders technology is same as when they wanted uniform application and now its not good enough.

Moreover BCCI is only keen on collecting $$$$ and not spend $ and its a costly system.

Another speculation is that BCCI is waiting for a secondary vendor so they could carve out some kind of deal for themselves, as current technolgy provider is enjoying a monopoly.

Too much speculation? Well this is what happens when you have CHAI late in evening and your brainstorming session becomes a F4 level braintornado ;)

Hey Chai Stall bunch - my parents use all their vacation time every year to go to India to take care of business and take care of elders, etc. My sister and I would like to send my parents on a two or three day getaway in India the next time they go over as a present for their next wedding anniversary. Any recommendations?

Not including airfare, probably $5000. City or hill-station is probably ideal - my dad hates beaches.

dgxoxo,

I would have recommended one of the luxury trains for that much money, but for 2-3 days, perhaps the Oberoi in Ranthambhore? My well travelled and big spender former boss loved it.

that's a good suggestion babu....if you can spend that much then i would even recommend the lake palace in udaipur....

Great suggestions, thanks! Maybe we will lower our budget a bit but still do something really nice for them! Oberoi looks amazing.

Lake Palace Udaipur is awesome and my favourite of the Rajasthan hotels. ^ ^

My second suggestion would actually be Rambagh Jaipur. After the renovation it is just an even more incredible experience. Stayed there for a few nights a couple of months back and the improvement in every aspect was incredible. The level of service was also unquestionably superb.

saad how long does Citi take to transfer money to India? I tried to transfer electronically last Tuesday and it has not reached.

Xoom says 24 hours, does anyone know if that is really true or is there some catch?
